Summer is sadly drawing to a close and I'm noticing the damage it's done! Today I'm talking through some great products for replenishing your skin, hair and body after a summer spent in the sun.

- EVERYDAY SKINCARE -

I really like using my Fresh Beauty Soy Face Cleanser* | £34 (200ml) | full review | whether it's as a refreshing morning cleanse or to remove light makeup. This is so calming and is formulated with cucumber, rosewater and amino acids from the soy extract. It feels incredibly light on the skin with its gel-like but non-foaming texture - perfect for replenishing the skin. As a second cleanse in the evening - I can't rave enough about the Wow You! Zen Cleanser | £16. This is a lightweight but beautifully-nourishing cream cleanser formulated with moisturising and soothing cucumber and oat. I've been using this as my second cleanse every single day and have even started using it in the morning too sometimes; that's how into this I am! It just softens, calms and hydrates my skin so nicely, making it perfect for aggravated post-summer skin. (Update: I now have an affiliate code with Wow You! Use JASMINE15 for 15% off!) After cleansing I really recommend using something like the Pixi Milky Tonic | £10 (100ml) | full review. This toner contains oat and jojoba milk which creates a gorgeously soothing and hydrating combination for skin in need of some TLC.

On to serums! I'm a big fan of the Niod Modulating Glucosides* | £21 | full review | which is an emulsion that I tend to use in place of a serum or with something like hyaluronic acid for hydration. This product contains a multi-molecular lipid complex to calm and soothe irritation and ceramides to reinforce the skin's natural barrier. It's great for sensitive skin that doesn't react well to the sun. I also really like the Malin + Goetz Replenishing Face Serum* | £58 | full review. This contains sodium hyaluronate (a derivative of hyaluronic acid - a super-water-retaining ingredient), amino acids and plant extracts (like soothing chamomile). It has a sort of melting gel-oil consistency and absorbs beautifully to really hydrate and plump my skin.

To moisturise my skin, I've been mixing together the Fourth Ray Matcha Face Milk | $10 | full review coming soon | and the Dr Jart + Ceramidin Cream | £35.50 | full review. The Fourth Ray face milk is another emulsion-like product, so it's pretty versatile. It contains matcha, jojoba milk, rice milk, kale and white tea, so it's packed full of antioxidants to moisturise, sooth and replenish your complexion. The Ceramidin Cream is a gorgeously rich, nourishing moisturiser that doesn't leave any greasy excess on the surface of my skin. Ceramides really help with soothing and protecting the skin against environmental aggressors, so this is one of my go-to products for restoring my skin.

- SKIN TREATMENTS -

Face masks are also great for looking after your skin after a day in the sun. An old favourite of mine in the Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Face Mask* | £26.95 | full review. I think I'm on my third tube right now - unheard of for a skincare junkie like me! It's just a great all-rounder; the runny honey texture is nourishing and softening on the skin but it also has antibacterial properties to get rid of any pesky breakouts. If my skin is feeling a bit irritated then I reach for the Dr Roebuck's Tama Healing Mask* | £25 | full review. This is also formulated with manuka honey, alongside turmeric and avocado oil to nourish, calm and replenish my skin. I even took this one on holiday with me and used it in the evening to calm and moisturise my skin. Finally for masks is a more recent addition: the GlamGlow BerryGlow Probiotic Recovery Mask* | £36. This yoghurty-textured face mask contains moisture-retaining hyaluronic acid, calming jojoba oil and nourishing shea butter alongside antioxidant-rich goji berry, cranberry and blueberry. This is gorgeously hydrating and is 'skin TLC' in a pot! If your complexion is lacklustre or your skin is feeling a bit tired; this will make things look healthy and revived.

When I've been getting the occasional breakout in the sun and the heat, I've found the REN ClearCalm Non-Drying Spot Treatment* | £15 | has sorted me out! It's a gel treatment with willow bark (a BHA pore-penetrating exfoliator) as well as prebiotics to balance the skin out after the breakout has cleared up. I just spot-apply this before bed and it's done an amazing job of shrinking the active breakouts and preventing me getting scarring and dark spots afterwards. This is one of those products I am going to keep in my arsenal for emergencies!

Overnight it's great to use something nourishing so you wake up with your skin looking and feeling healthy. The first product I just have to mention (even though I mention it ALL THE TIME!) is the Pixi Nourishing Sleep Mask | £18 | full review. This isn't anything fancy; it's just fruit and flower extracts but it's amazing for softening, smoothing and moisturising my skin when it's dehydrated. The other option is just a straight face oil and one I really rate right now the Antipodes Divine Face Oil Organic Avocado Oil & Rosehip* | £22.95 | full review. This is so nourishing and lacklustre, dehydrated skin will just drink it up! Not only that but rosehip helps even out the skin if you've suffered from any discolouration due to sun damage (though prevention is obviously always better than cure, so be sure to use sunscreen all year round).

- HAIR -

My hair tends to suffer a lot during the summer - even when dousing it in protectant! Coconut has been my go-to weapon to nourish and restore that moisture. I've been using the Coco and Eve Super Nourishing Coconut & Fig Hair Masque* | £34.90 | for the past month or two and can say it's worth the hype for me. It contains raw virgin coconut, fig essence, argan oil and shea butter and comes with a little comb so you can slather this on and ensure it's distributed evenly throughout the lengths and ends of your hair. I leave this on for as long as possible but a minimum of about 20 minutes and it leaves my hair so much softer, silker, smoother and more hydrated. If you have dry or damaged hair; I can't recommend it enough. As a finishing product, I've been reaching for Percy & Reed Oh-So-Smooth Frizz-Fixer Spray* | £15. This isn't at all greasy or heavy but is formulated with nourishing, softening moringa, coconut and sweet almond oils. It's a really lovely everyday option to just smooth away any fly-aways and give your hair some lightweight hydration.

- BODY -

Finally, we have a few nourishing body bits to restore the skin there too. First up is a bargain product that just works: the Astral Intensive Moisturising Body Wash with Cocoa Butter | £2.99. It's a creamy, nourishing formula that does foam a little but replenishes the skin instead of stripping it like most shower gels. I also recently got my hands on the Nuxe Huile de Prodigieuse Riche Multi-Usage Nourishing Oil Spray* | £32.50. I'm a long-time fan of the original version and this rich edition just kicks that nourishment up to the next level. I just spray it on my skin in the morning after showering and it locks in serious nourishment without leaving a greasy excess on my skin. You can also use this to moisturise your hair.
