THE SPRING BEAUTY EDIT

Winter finally looks to be behind us! And, as a sun-lover and a June baby, I couldn't be happier that we're heading towards the Summer months. Today I'm sharing with you my favourite products for Spring...

- MAKEUP -

When it comes to makeup, a coral or peachy-toned look with fresh skin is what I like for Spring. Starting with the base; I'm loving my IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream (Medium Tan) | £31 | full review. It gives my complexion such a radiant, natural look. It offers a nice level of coverage whilst still looking like skin. To add some more glow to my cheeks I use the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Gradient Glow | £30 | full review. This particular shade isn't available any more for some reason but there are a bunch of colours available for different skin tones. This formula gives a really blinding highlight and - despite being a powder formula - it has a really dewy look on the skin. This particular shade is a sort of rosy amber-gold.

Let's move into colour products. I really love my Clinique Cheek Pop Blush in Ginger Pop | £17 | full review. This formula is so great because, although the shades look bright in the pan, the pigmentation and smoothness of the formula make them so easy to apply without it looking 'too much'. This is a lovely warm corally tone so I like to pair it with my Huda Beauty Coral Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette | £25 | full review. I absolutely love this formula; there are some brighter shades in here but they have great pigmentation without being difficult to blend. I really like how nice these mattes are to work with and the spectrum of Spring-perfect coral tones (with a pop of yellow) in the mix. There are also two shimmers; a sort of golden peach and a more true pink-coral. To finish off this colour theme, I use the ColourPop Lippie Stix in Sike | $5.50 | full review. This is billed as matte but has a very creamy formula that's actually quite hydrating and even has a slight sheen. I love how opaque the colour is and how the tone places it on the brighter, 'poppier' side of a nude peachy-coral lip.

- SKINCARE -

For Spring, all I really want is fresh, glowing skin, so these are some of the products that help me achieve that healthy look. I start off with the Fresh Soy Face Cleanser* | £30 | full review | because it has such a light, refreshing feel on the skin with its gel-like texture and cucumbery scent. It gently cleanses the skin without foaming up or stripping it of moisture so I'm left with soft, clean, hydrated skin.

I'm pretty sure I featured another Pixi Rose product in last year's edit but this time round, I just had to mention the Pixi Rose Glow Mist* | £18 | full review. This dual-phase oil mist is so hydrating and gives your skin a gorgeous dewy look, whether used instead of a toner or over makeup. I also really like the First Aid Beauty Coconut Smoothie Priming Moisturiser | £20.50 | full review | to get a fresh, dewy skin look. It's so hydrating and makes my skin look healthy and radiant without being greasy.

- EVERYTHING ELSE -

As my nails are permanently gel-manicured these days, I don't have any colour recommendations here but I do have a couple of Spring-scented body products worth a look.

The first is the Bjork & Berries Never Spring Body Oil* | £29. This oil is light and non-greasy but really helps to nourish the dry skin on my body with natural ingredients. It's so handy that it comes with a spray pump so you don't waste any product and I think the packaging is lovely. The scent is lemon and cedarwood which was inspired by 'the smell of the first signs of Spring'. I also love my Fresh Sugar Lychee Eau de Parfum | £41 | full review. It's a blend of the sweet but slightly lemony brown sugar scent Fresh is known for and lychees, with additional notes of lotus, grapefruit, tonka and amber. The finished product is a fresh, sweet but also warm and fruity fragrance.
