Cosy season is here and these are a few of the beauty favourites that are going to carry me through...

When it comes to skincare, of course the focus is on hydration and supporting my skin barrier. Monday Muse's the Cleanser | £28 | full review | is perfect for a gentle, non-stripping cleanse. It's non-foaming and milky but still has a water-based quality. It's formulated with prebiotics, aloe and moisturising plant oils to keep my skin soft and happy. I follow it up with the Laneige Cream Skin Cerapeptide* | £29.50 | full review. This is a milky toner and moisturiser all-in-one that just replenishes my skin to perfection. It's light on my skin but really moisturises it and contains ceramides to boost the skin barrier and peptides for a well-ageing benefit. Glycerin delivers hydration and moisturising plant oils give me wonderfully-soft skin.

Lately, I've really been enjoying the Ordinary's Soothing & Barrier Support Serum* | £13.32 | full review. This emulsion serum is perfect for taking the edge off your retinoids and acids as the weather starts to get harsher. It's formulated with with ceramides (a component of the lipid barrier, which keeps the skin happy and healthy), niacinamide (to boost up your skin's natural production of ceramides) and soothing and anti-inflammatory extracts like ginger, centella asiatica and bisabolol. It's so soothing, calming and moisturising; I'm loving it already! One of my go-to moisturisers of the moment has been the Ole Henriksen Strength Trainer Peptide Boost Moisturiser* | £42 | full review. This just has that perfect nourishing-but-not-too-heavy texture that melts into my skin. It works well under makeup, it contains barrier boosters like ceramides and cholesterol. Plus we have niacinamide and peptides to provide a one-step moisturiser with actives to improve the skin over time.

Maybe you didn't expect to see a sunscreen in this post, but I wear it all year round; only skipping it during the colder months when I'm working from home. Whenever I'm heading out, I reach for the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Rice + Prebiotics SPF 50+ PA++++ | £16 (15% off with code JASMINETALKSBEAUTY (affiliate)) | full review. I really like the texture of this product; it honestly feels like a really nice moisturiser, it melts in without any excess or cast and it works really well under makeup. Plus we have added niacinamide, antioxidants and fermented ingredients. My PM hero is the REN Evercalm Overnight Recovery Balm* | £46 | full review. This melting balm-to-oil is perfect for softening dry patches of skin or even just preemptively protecting areas where you know you're prone to dryness; I love applying it before bed around my mouth and nose when the weather is cold to stop my skin feeling tight and it works a treat.

For makeup, my autumn vibe is cherry tones, mustard hues, a glowing complexion and plenty of cream formulas. I love using the Rose Inc Enhance Luminous Tinted Serum* (060) | £39 | full review | because this water-based formula is just so hydrating. I evens out my skin's tone whilst making it glow and ensuring it still looks like 'my skin'. It's long-wearing, it's flattering and it doesn't sink into fine lines; if you're suffering from dry skin at the moment and you don't like how your foundation is clinging to dry patches, then this is well worth a look.

I have a couple of eyeshadows I've been reaching for; I usually go for Ilia Liquid Powder Eye Tint in Ochre* | £28 | across the lid and on the outer corner and lower lash line, I use the Nudestix Magnetic Matte Eye Colour in Maroon'd | £21. The Ilia formula is a super-opaque liquid that you can apply a little of, blend out with your fingers or a brush and it will set down and not budge all day. This mustard-nude colour is autumnal perfection. I love how it contrasts with the dark reddish-purple-brown of Maroon'd; this eyeshadow crayon is again really opaque and stays in place all day (or night) long.

My go-to cheek product at the moment is the tawny rose-tan of the Nudestix Nudies Matte All Over Bronze Colour in Sunkissed | £30. This is a long-wearing, matte (but not drying!) cream blusher-bronzer that I use on both my cheeks and my lips. I love this sort of dusky colour for this time of year. At the moment, on my lips, I like layering the Clarins Lip Comfort Oil in Cherry* | £22 | over the top. These lip oils are nourishing and add a wash of colour and a glossy finish. This is a gorgeous tone for this time of year; it's autumnal but this purple-red really lifts my complexion too.

Let's round things off with fragrance and body care. My go-to shower duo at the moment is the Naturium's the Glow Getter Multi-Oil Hydrating Body Wash* | £18 | and their Bio-Lipid Body Lotion* | £16.50 | full review. I love this body wash - in fact I'm almost out of it! I has a high concentration of glycerin, so it's super hydrating, plus it's formulated with nourishing plant oils like rosehip and squalane so the skin feels soft and happy after showering, rather than dry and stripped. After showing, I lock in the hydration with their lightweight-feel but richly-nourishing body lotion, formulated with plenty of replenishing fats and vitamins. It deeply moisturises without feeling greasy or leaving an excess on my skin.

Finally, my fragrance pick for the season is the Kayali Lovefest Burning Cherry Eau de Parfum* | £78. This has delicious notes of bergamot, raspberry, praline, black cherry, palo santo, tonka, patchouli and more. It makes for a sweet but deep and heady blend of woodiness, richy berries and spice.
