Another month, another look at the products I've been loving! Here's a look at what's made it into my little Muji rotation this month.
Face
Not exactly a light summer base but I've really been liking this recently. I get a really shiny face as the day goes on but this really does stay in place! It's also a slightly darker shade than I usually wear so it's perfect now I've got a tan from my holiday. The only downside of this is that it does settle a little bit into any fine lines.
Since my Benefit Erase Paste ran out, I decided to pick this up in my Duty Free Haul. It's a little bit lighter so more brightening and I do actually really like it. The peach tone definitely counteracts the blue tone of my dark circles and means I don't have to pile on loads of heavy concealer.
Instead I've been loving this 'weightless, full-coverage' option which is so light and blend-able but still gives really nice coverage. My skin has cleared up a lot since I got back off holiday so it also does it for blemishes for me. Again the shade I have in this is slightly darker than my usual so perfect now I've caught the sun.
This is my latest glow-giving obsession! It's a gorgeous gold-toned dewy highlighter. It's also definitely not as glittery as it looks in the pan; it's very natural on.
This is the blusher I've been reaching for pretty much every day since I got home. It's so effortless to apply and gives the perfect amount of deep pink colour pay-off, with a nice bit of highlight.
Real Techniques Blush Brush | £9.99
This works so perfectly to lightly sweep on a highlighting blush like the Laura Geller one and also the Hourglass ones. It's such a bargain and can also be used for bronzer so I recommend everyone adding one of these to their collection.
Lips & Eyes
MAC Plumful (Lustre) | £15.50 | swatch
For lips it's a bit of a re-discovery; I really didn't like this when I first picked it up but now I'm in love with it! It's the perfect sheer lip way to wear colour and I love the bright, plummy tone for Summer.
Benefit BrowZings Kit in Dark | £24.50
Although I'm still loyal to my Soap and Glory Archery Brow Pencil, I have got back into using a little powder on the sparse patches in my eyebrows. For this I've been loving this kit from Benefit, however for a cheaper option I think the Sleek one works just as well.
This is the perfect semi-matte taupe-beige neutral eye base. I've been building my MAC Pro Palette and will do a post on it when it's done however there's been a perfect little quad I haven't stopped using that I thought I'd share.
MAC Pro Refill Eyeshadows | £10 each
I have 4 shades at the moment that I'm loving and work so well together. First is the classic All That Glitters (a pinky-nude shimmer) for the inner-corner highlight. Next I sweep some of Patina (a light brown shade with a cool iridescent shimmer) across the lid. I add a bit of Quarry (a lilac-taupe matte) into the crease then finish with a bit of Woodwinked (a warm medium brown shimmer) into the outer v.
Crown IB119 Deluxe Crease Brush* | £3.69 | review
This is my favourite brush right now for applying the crease shade but also for blending out the edges. It works incredibly well and is so soft, I really can't get over how affordable it is!
L'Oreal False Lash Flutter Mascara | £10.99
This has been my mascara go-to since getting back to the UK. I love the formula but also the brush is amazing for really hooking onto the lashes and adding some serious length. It also adds a nice bit of volume whilst maintaining definition.
A recent addition to my stash is this much-hyped Stila eyeliner. I do still think I prefer the shape of the nib on my Soap & Glory Supercat, however this is really nice for the small, fiddly details. It's very pigmented and black, plus I find it easy to work with.
For my lower lash line I've been enjoying these liners from Urban Decay. It's such a lovely, creamy, pigmented formula but once it's on it doesn't budge. I love the aubergine-taupe metallic shade of Underground.
1 - Laura Geller Pink Grapefruit, 2 - Urban Decay Underground, 3 - MAC All That Glitters, 4 - MAC Patina, 5 - MAC Quarry, 6 - MAC Woodwinked 7 - Stila Carbon Black

Fab post hun, I always love posts like these :) I really want to try the UD Naked Skin concealer has I have heard so many good things and love that it’s light :) I love the RT blush brush but at the moment finding it works great for powder as it’s the right size for my face.

The Crown crease brush looks great! I haven't heard much about their eye brushes before but it would make a good affordable back up :)
ReplyDeleteVelvet Blush
The only thing that I've tried that you've featured is the Stila liner, which I love. Last month was all about based products to for me, foundation and bronzer. 😀

Ohh that blending brush looks amazing! Will be reading your review and probably picking it up, such a bargain price too. I agree with you about the RT blush brush, it applies just the right amount on and its so so soft - I haven't used mine in a while but you've reminded me how lovely it is ^_^
ReplyDeleteIqra |The Blushing Giraffe x
The crease brush is such a steal and the blush brush is one of the few that just seems to apply everything perfectly :) xx
DeleteAlthough I love my tried and true, amazing Mac pro longwear concealer, I've heard how comparable the Naked one is, and I've been dying to try it out!
ReplyDeleteRachelShuchatMakeup
A great collection of products Jasmine! I really want to try the Urban Decay concealer as I've heard great things about it, but I have a few to work through first. I love the look of the Laura Geller blusher & they've just begun selling them in Debenhams so am sure one of these will be coming home with me soon! I picked up Global Glow last summer, but it hasn't had much use. I really should pull it out again! Xx
ReplyDeleteTania | whentaniatalks.com
I did notice Laura Geller on the Debenhams site! Though I think it may be a bit more expensive than on Beauty Bay xx
DeleteI need to try Plumful. It's spoken about so much I just need to buy it. haha There are a few things on here I'll need to be adding to my wish list. :)

I really want to buy the RT's brush but I bought the duo fiber brush by RT and I really like it.. it's quite similar as it apply the product very lightly :) x
ReplyDelete_Aishettina_
I really liked the formula of the Revlon foundation, it was such a shame that no amount of mixing different shades resulted in a good match :( xx
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments - hope you enjoyed the post :) xx
ReplyDeleteI really want to try the Estee Lauder foundation! I've been loving MAC shadows too, they're just amazing :)x
