An Introduction to Crown Brushes*

Brushes are the part of my beauty collection I appreciate more and more as time goes on. After all, what's the point in applying a £30 foundation with a rubbish tool? So I'm always up for trying some new ones, so after hearing amazing things about Crown Brushes I was delighted to have the opportunity to give a few of them a go. I was pleasantly surprised at how affordable all of Crown's brushes were, and there's a huge selection on their website for just about everything. The brushes are also really professional so you can adapt them to different uses.

The first brush I have is the C433 Pro Blending Fluff* (£6.09). It's pretty much what it says on the tin; although it tapers, it's the perfect fluffy base brush. I think this is a really good all-in-one as the taper means you could also use it to apply your crease colour. It also really works well to blend different shades together. It's the sort of 'do it all' staple everyone needs in their collection and I'm amazed it's such a low price.

The C450 Pointed Foundation Brush* (£16.99) isn't one I thought I'd be a fan of. I haven't really tried a foundation brush like this before as it's not a flat brush but it is tapered to a point. I tend to use buffing brushes for foundation, as I've always been wary of 'painting' my base on. However the bristles on this brush are so nice and flexible and this gives a really flawless finish to a full or medium coverage foundation. The shape makes it super easy to get into awkward spots like the corner of your eyes without it taking you ages to do the rest of your face. I was also pleasantly surprised at how streak-free my finish was using this brush.

Next we have the C406 Large Duo Fibre Face Brush* (£9.29), which is probably the most adaptable of the bunch. You can use this as a stippling brush for a light, fluid foundation or for cream products like blusher. Personally, I'm liking using this for powders, especially for subtle application of highlighter and bronzer because it doesn't pick up too much product.

Finally there's the IB119 Deluxe Crease* (£3.69). Again, I can't believe how affordable this brush is and it's an essential for any collection. The bristles are so soft and it's really easy to use. You can apply your transition shade with this and it's pretty much fool-proof. It's also really nice for blending out any harsh lines. I can only really think of the e.l.f. Essentials line at this price point and this is miles better.

I'm definitely no professional but I really loved using these brushes and haven't had problems with shedding. I've washed them a couple of times and so far so good on that front too! These are a great addition to my collection and I will definitely get myself a few more Crown Brushes.

Have you tried Crown Brushes? Which are your favourites?

  2. I've seen so many times Crown's brushes featured on blogs and vlogs but never tried them for myself but I remember checking their website and most of the brushes are very affordable. Right now I'm so in love with Zoeva so I don't think I will branch out much but I will definitely keep your suggestions in mind :) x

  4. Yay! A Crown Brush review! I've been considering getting some crown brushes for a while now, but am yet to invest! I've heard some of their face brushes are great dupes for the Sigma F80, amongst others. Out of interest, how soft are they in comparison to say Real Techniques brushes?

  23. Crown brushes have been on my radar for quite some time now and I'm not sure what has put me off buying them until now (maybe the fact that you have to pay for delivery). But the options you have here sound fantastic and super affordable so I really must overlook the delivery charges and just have a little splurge x
