Incredible Value! | Feel Unique Radiant Skin Beauty Box

My biggest bug-bear with my skin is that even when it's blemish-free, it's really prone to dullness. When Feel Unique emailed out one of their fantastic discount codes I was deliberating whether to pick up the REN 1 Minute Facial Rinse, after enjoying a little sample on it. I typed the name of the £32 product into the search bar and what should come up but this £35 box including a full-sized tube of the REN. Do I really need to explain what happened next?!

I had already tried most of the contents of the Feel Unique Radiant Skin Beauty Box  but I was running low on, so for a mere £3 more I just had to get the box, which you can apply discount codes to (I got 20% off!) Honestly if you make one skincare purchase this payday, it should be this!

Firstly is the Caudalie Beauty Elixir (30ml, worth £11.50). This is such a cult product, which I actually already own but I'm around halfway through the bottle. It's a facial spray packed full of essential oils and natural waters. It smells incredibly refreshing and perks up my skin, giving an immediate, if temporary hydration boost. I'm very dubious as to if facial sprays do much in the long-term and (as one of you guys pointed out!) alcohol (albeit plant-derived) is listed quite high up in the ingredients so it's not something I'd use every day as over time it could have the opposite effect. Used occasionally though, I do like this and I'm a very nervous flier but a quick spritz of this on my face during takeoff was really relaxing.

Next up is the product that was a major decider in my picking up this set: the REN Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial (75ml, worth £32). I really like this product but I was struggling justifying the splurge as I do think the Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask (also by REN, review here) has a more dramatic effect for me and I'd already splashed out on that. However I do really like this product if you can get past the odd smell and texture. It's a really great thing to use in the morning when you don't have time to be waiting 15 minutes for your face mask to produce results (though you do need to follow the instructions for it to work). You simply dampen your fingers and apply the mask, gently massaging it in as you do so. Leave it for 1 minute so the Vitamin C can do its thing (go and put the kettle on or something!) then rinse it off. My skin looks plumper, healthier and more glowing afterwards. Though it's not as dramatic as a full-on face mask you would leave for 10-15 minutes, there are noticeable, great results for me.

Moving onto the only product I hadn't tried previously; the GlamGlow YouthMud Exfoliating Mask (15g, worth £15). It is a small sample but given the usual price of Glamglow products and the overall value of this box, you really can't complain! It's a strange, grainy texture and you leave it on for up to 10 minutes before removing by massaging the grains against your skin (essentially giving physical exfoliation as well as the chemical exfoliation from having left the mask on). I must say that this is one you can feel working... Whilst I wouldn't call it stinging or painful, it's not one for sensitive skin (in all honesty, most of the products mentioned wouldn't be great). It settles down within a couple of minutes but in all honesty it's worth it anyway as the results are seriously impressive! I'm not sure how I feel about the fact there's a physical exfoliation element as I'm not into face scrubs these days, however kept to occasional use this is big yes from me! I was amazed at how clear, bright and glowing my skin looked even the following morning.

Finally, another one I've tried but was reaching the point where I was looking to re-purchase; the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads (x28, worth £12). I really rate these, athough they essentially do a similar job to my Pixi Glow Tonic, the pot is filled with little pads already soaked in AHA goodness so they're really handy especially for travelling. I do prefer these a little to the Nip + Fab ones, which are slightly cheaper and more accessible. Depending on your skin type you can use them once a day in place of a toner after your skin is fully cleansed. It's an acid toner so essentially exfoliates your skin very gently, completely eliminating the need for anything as harsh as a face scrub. I personally get immediate results and notice a slight improvement in the clarity of my skin and it also just looks more healthy and glowing. Over long-term use it has definitely helped to fade my old blemish scars and even out my skin tone.

If you've tried any of these products I'd love to hear your thoughts! What are your favourite products for radiant skin?

  4. I can't believe you got all this for that price. I'm on a spending ban but this is redicuously tempting, damn. The one minute facial mask has always been something I've loved the look of since first seeing it.

  9. I love the Glamglow, even though I have sensitive skin. My is slightly discomforting when I use it, and it does turn beet red afterwards, but it works wonders on my skin.
