Today we're talking through the low-effort, hydration-boosting beauty products I'm reaching for this summer...

I'm sure I'm getting boring at this point, but there's really not a better all-rounder cleanse for my summer skincare routine than Monday Muse's the Cleanser | £28 | full review. This is a jelly-lotion cleanser with gentle glycolipid surfactants that don't foam up and never leave my skin feeling dry or stripped. It's the perfect texture to keep my skin soft, hydrated and balanced around this time of year. In terms of serums; it's early days but so far I'm really enjoying The Antioxidant by Skin Rocks* | £70 | full review coming soon. This lotion serum feels hydrating and gives my skin a healthy, dewy glow-boost. It's formulated with a Vitamin C derivative I really enjoy called Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate which offers powerful antioxidant benefits to protect the skin from free radical damage, whilst being more gentle and stable than pure-form Vitamin C. There's also green tea extract in here - another powerful antioxidant - and a skin-brightening peptide. There were some really promising results that came out of the clinicals with this formula and I'm looking forward to seeing how it works for my skin long-term. I particularly love using antioxidants as part of my summer AM routine as they actually work synergistically with your sunscreen so you're reaping the maximum benefits from both!

My go-to summer day cream is honestly the same as it was last year: the Glow Recipe Plum Plump Hyaluronic Cream* | £35 | full review. This is a melting water cream that deeply hydrates my skin and makes it look fresh, healthy and dewy all day long. It's formulated with a humectant base but also contains skin-softening and replenishing squalane, antioxidant-rich plant extracts and niacinamide (to boost the skin barrier and even out the complexion). It's so lightweight and breathable but still gives my drier skin type everything it needs. I like to follow the moisturiser up with a product I discovered last year and have since repurchased for this summer: the Ultra Violette Fave Fluid Ultralight Skinscreen SPF 50+ | £37 | full review. This is the summer sunscreen all-rounder for me! It's lightweight and non-greasy, melting effortlessly into my skin which makes it easy to apply and reapply throughout the day. Additionally, it works perfectly under makeup and doesn't run or get into my eyes in the heat. This, plus the broad spectrum SPF 50+, have made it a holiday staple for me.

Let's talk makeup! And, I must admit; I'm a creature of habit and have found myself gravitating towards many of the same products day after day. My go-to summer base day-to-day has been the Summer Fridays Sheer Skin Tint (Shade 5) | £42 | full review. This perfectly balances giving my skin a fresh, dewy glow without making it look overly shiny in warmer weather. It ensures my skin looks like skin but just evens out redness and perks up my skin overall. This product lets my skin breathe and never melts into a greasy slick!

I also have a few colour products to shout out for summer, the first of which is the Merit Day Glow Highlighting Balm in Citrine | £34 | full review / swatch. This is exactly what it sounds like; a glossy balm highlighter that's nothing to glitzy or obvious or pigmented, but it's so easy to swipe on and dab out quickly in the morning. This warm golden peach colour is perfect for getting that sunkissed glow on my skin tone too! I use this alongside the Merit Bronze Balm Sheer Bronzer in Seine | £32 | full review / swatch. Again, this has a really foolproof application and a forgiving formula. It can be swiped on and the colour built up, then you can just dab it out. This is a shimmer-free bronzer that adds a natural warmth to my skin and takes about 15 seconds to apply when you want natural, effortless makeup.

In the spirit of keeping things low-effort, I have a lip and cheek multi-stick option in the Nudestix Nudies Matte in Picante | £30 | mini review / demo. I know this is billed as matte but it has that kind of gliding-over, soft-focus formula that applies nice and evenly. This is a long-wearing and easy-to-apply cream blush that can also be used as a semi-sheer lipstick and this red-orange shade is gorgeous for this time of year.

For eyes, I love a gold colour for summer and cream shadows are really long-wearing for when the weather is hot. My favourite is the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Copper | £28 | full review / swatch. This swipes on so opaquely and you have a few seconds to dab out the edges and blend before it sets down and doesn't budge all day. This colour is kind of a warm, light gold and the finish is pearly, metallic and luminous on the lids; perfect for shimmering in the sun! Finally, I repurchase the Glossier Lash Slick Mascara | £20 | full review | every summer, because it's a lengthening, separating tubing mascara. This means it looks natural and it doesn't smudge or flake, even in hot weather, meaning it's the formula I trust when I'm wearing makeup during the warmer months.

Finally, we have a few miscellaneous beauty products... During the summer, I do prefer to keep my beauty routine a little less fussy, so any product that gives me the most bang for my book is 'in'! One such product is the Coco & Eve Miracle Hair Elixir | £12. I don't know how they do it, but when I apply this to damp hair before blow-drying it; it just seems to lock in shine and hydration and make my hair feel so soft and silky. It's kind of like a jelly, containing both hyaluronic acid to draw in moisture and nourishing coconut oil, plus other replenishing, fatty ingredients which really give my hair the love it needs. It's a 10-second step that seriously delivers results.

In terms of body care, one product has stood out as a firm favourite so far: the Comfort Zone Hydramemory Body Lotion* | £44. This is one of my favourite spa brands; their products smell heavenly, and this is no exception with its fresh water-like aroma which lingers on the skin for hours. The body lotion itself has a melting texture so I can just see all the hydration my skin is getting. It's formulated with hyaluronic acid, prickly pear, glycerin, nourishing shea butter and plenty of skin-softening plant oils like jojoba and squalane. Basically, it's everything my skin loves in a lightweight, quick-to-apply lotion for summer.

Finally, my scent of the summer, which has been my go-to for many summers now! Estee Lauder's Bronze Goddess* | £89 (100ml) | gets me every time I mist it... It has notes of amber, vanilla, bergamot, florals and coconut, which come together to smell of sun-drenched goodness. It lasts so well on my skin and it's a classic for a reason; it's a timeless scent and I love it.
