Today I'm giving a whistle-stop tour of my favourite beauty products for the season (and any in-depth reviews I've done will be linked) so let's dive right in...

- SKIN -

My entire summer look is all about glowing skin, however we don't damage our skin around here, so I like to mix in a few drops of the Isle of Paradise Medium Self-Tanning Drops* | £19.95 | with a moisturiser before bed. My personal preference is around 4 drops for a very natural look, but you can use up to 12 if you prefer a deeper tan. It doesn't streak, it doesn't look patchy and it gives a lovely, even warmth like you've just caught the sun.

In the morning, I use the Fresh Soy Face Cleanser* | £36 | full review | which comes out every summer because it's a light, water-based gel cleanser, that doesn't foam as such but does lather very mildly with water. It's formulated with replenishing amino acids and cucumber extract and can be used as a gentle morning cleanse but also works to remove light, everyday makeup and sunscreen. A product that had been lurking at the back of my cupboard but recently saw the light of day again is the Fenty Skin Fat Water* | £25 | full review. I did like this product when I tried it, I guess I just didn't love it, however rediscovering it as a summer skin product has given it a new lease of life in my routine. This is a thick toner that has a gel-like consistency so could also serve as a serum for some skin types. It's formulated with niacinamide (to help calm inflammation and regulate oil production in the skin) and various antioxidant-rich plant extracts and waters and gives my skin a healthy, dewy glow.

My serum of choice, particularly on hot summer days, is the Monday Muse the Juice Daily Serum* | £40 | full review. This calming blend of panthenol, niacinamide, centella and more comes in a lightweight, breathable hydrating serum that leaves my skin fresh and glowing. It really helps with any redness or inflammation I'm experiencing. My go-to moisturiser has been the Honest Beauty Hydrogel Cream | £25 | full review. I love this as a lightweight option on my normal-to-dry skin because it's a melting cream still packed with amazing ingredients like squalane, glycerin, jojoba, Sodium PCA and a form of hyaluronic acid. It still gives my skin a beautiful fresh glow but allows it to breathe at the same time.

Lastly, let's talk about sunscreens. My favourite all-in-one body and face product (that works really well under makeup too) is Supergoop Play Everyday Lotion SPF 50 with Sunflower Extract | £20. This is a lightweight, broad-spectrum chemical sunscreen that melts into the skin with no white cast and feels lovely and hydrating. It's also water-resistant so suitable for days that get a bit hot and sweaty. For topping up during the day over makeup, I've loved using the Ultrasun Face UV Protection Mist SPF 50 | £18. This is a water-light, super-fine mist that you can use over makeup to ensure you're protected throughout the day without disrupting anything. It's easy to fit right in you handbag and I'm obsessed with it!

- MAKEUP -

Lord knows how many tubes I've been through of the Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser* (St. Moritz & Cuzco) | £33 | full review | it's just that flipping good! Though I'm sure it was about £27 when I first started buying it... It's just the perfect 'my skin but better', taking away any redness and uneven tone, but still looking like my own skin. It's so radiant but the oil-free formula means it doesn't get too shiny during the day and it has impressive longevity. I fully expect to repurchase this throughout the rest of my life, really! For concealer, my weapon of choice has really been the Fenty Beauty Bright Fix Eye Brightener* (07 Deep Butter) | £18 | full review. This lightweight, hydrating formula corrects, conceals and brightens my eye area in an instant, and it looks so natural on the skin. I did also mean to include my Kosas powder, to lightly remove shine and set things in place, but - to be fair - I covered it off here.

I'm all about creams when it comes to my cheek makeup and my go-to duo is the Kosas Colour + Light Creme in Helios | £32. I love how emollient this highlighter is, giving the most natural, dewy glow in this beautiful warm gold. Then the blusher is this sort of burnt orange-reddish tone that you dab into the skin and it has amazing longevity. For summer, I'm kind of into that sunburnt cheek colour - I don't know if that's weird, but it's my vibe! Then, for bronzer, we have a newbie... the Saie Sun Melt Natural Cream Bronzer in Medium | £20. I'm already really enjoying this; it blends in to give a natural, long-wearing warmth and glow to my skin. There's one lighter tone than this and it also comes in two deeper shades that I think will work for a lot of skin tones that cream bronzers rarely cater to. If the new Tan de Chanel shade left you cold: check out this instead, and you'll save some money!

On my eyes, I've really been enjoying the Trinny London Eye2Eye in Sun | £18. If you've been following me for a really long time, you'll probably know I was obsessed for about 2 years with the ColourPop eyeshadow in Sunset Blvd, and this is like my modern day version of that wash of light, warm golden-peach, It's super easy when you want a little bit of glow on the lids. I would just recommend using a primer underneath if you want it to last all day in the heat. I pair it with the mascara I know I can trust not to smudge, flake or irritate my hay-fevered eyes in the heat: the Glossier Lash Slick Mascara | £14 | full review. It's more of a 'length and separation' mascara than one that's super volumising, but I like it a lot for everyday.

Let's talk lips: I have two favourites here. I love the Fresh tinted lip balms: I buy them every year in a couple of shades because they have SPF 15 in them, they're moisturising and provide a beautiful wash of colour, so as you top that up you're keeping the SPF topped up too. Right now, I'm enjoying the Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Balm in Punch | £19.50. This is a gorgeous, vibrant red-orange for summer. I also really like the Ilia Balmy Gloss Tinted Lip Oil in Saint | £24. This is for when you want that really glossy look but with a nourishing base. This is in the burnt red family and it's a low-maintenance way of adding a bit of glam to a look.

- EVERYTHING ELSE -

Honestly, I did mention this in my spring edit, but I'm still feeling yellows so my nail pick is still the OPI Bee-hind the Scenes Nail Lacquer* | £13.90. This is a beautiful pale yellow in a formula that actually lasts reasonably well on me. I like 2-3 light coats to get that perfect, opaque finish. For scent, I have something you can use on your body and also as hair perfume: the Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa '71 Fragrance Mist | £18. This brand's scents won't be for everyone, but they are for me! This contains notes of caramelised vanilla, chocolate, macadamia and coconut - yum... It also lasts really well for me and Sol de Janeiro is just synonymous with summer for me.

Let's round it off with two body products I've been enjoying. The first is the Kopari Hydrating Body Milk Lotion with Shea Butter & Chamomile* | £24. I have really dry skin on my body, so I never skip moisturising, even in the summer. This is a quick and easy lightweight moisturiser in a pump bottle that delivers these deep-nourishing ingredients in such an easily-absorbed lotion, leaving my skin soft and a gorgeous summer coconut scent behind! When I'm feeling fancy, I like to use the new Sunday Riley Fairy Godmother Shimmering Body Oil Gel* | £42. I love and have tried many body oils but none quite like this; it comes out as a gel but still feels super nourishing with no grease! It also leaves the most subtle golden sheen on the skin. It's more subtle than any other I've tried before, but I'm into it: I actually prefer a soft glow over visible chunks of glitter.

What are your top summer beauty picks?
