THE WINTER BEAUTY EDIT

Winter is here! And today we're going to be talking about my top seasonal beauty picks including makeup, skincare and everything else...

- MAKEUP -

In terms of getting that luminosity my skin lacks at this time of year; there's a combination I've been loving - the MAC Strobe Cream in Goldlite | £25 | review | and the Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser | £30 | review. The Strobe Cream gives my skin an extra bit of light hydration but also contains a very subtle gold shift, giving a radiant finish. The Nars provides enough coverage to even out the skin tone and make my complexion look the best version of itself without being heavy (though you can definitely build up the coverage with this one). It doesn't get too greasy on my skin and lasts really well too. The pairing ensures my skin looks fresh and glowing, even during the bitterly cold winter months.

As far as colour products go; I've really been enjoying a more berry-toned look recently. On the eyes I'm loving the Zoeva Unique Reflection Eyeshadow Palette | £17.50 (full review coming soon). This is definitely a warm-toned palette but these berry and peachy tones are the perfect way to do wintery colours in a more subtle way. There's a great array of mattes in here and the shimmers are just stunning! I'm also a huge fan of the Milani Baked Blush in Berry Amore | £10 | review. Again, this really ties in with the berry theme without being anything too bold. It's a gorgeous sheeny baked blusher that's impossible to over-apply and blends out so easily and evenly. I like to finish off the look with the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte in Icon* | £18 | review. This is my favourite true matte liquid lipstick formula because it's so non-drying and even a bolder tone like this isn't streaky to apply or messy to reapply. This is a gorgeous pinky-toned berry colour that's perfect with the glowing minimal base and subtle berry colour on the eyes and cheeks.

- SKINCARE -

When it comes to treatments, my key concern in the winter is, of course, ensuring my skin doesn't feel dry. I absolutely love the Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Face Mask* | £22 | review. It really does feel like honey and left on for 15 minutes in the evening, it gives my skin amazing nourishment and revives it after a day of being exposed to the elements. I've also been using my Pixi Rose Tonic* | £10 (for mini) | review | every single morning and evening - I have a mini for where I travel and a full-sized bottle I'm about halfway through at home! It just locks the moisture into my skin after cleansing and has a lovely soothing effect. Overnight I've been opting for the Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Face Oil | £34 | review | because at this time of year, a moisturiser doesn't always cut it and I'd rather use something that will make my skin look shiny before bed when no one's really going to see it! This is a great option if you don't want something too slippery and greasy, as it absorbs quickly with minimal excess. It's just amazing at ensuring my skin is soft and nourished.

During the daytime, there have been two standout heros over the past few weeks: the Caudalie S.O.S. Thirst-Quenching Serum* | £29 | review | and the Herbivore Pink Cloud Rosewater Moisture Cream | £42 (review coming soon). I've raved many times about this Caudalie serum but I still thought it deserved its place in this post! It's lightweight and absorbs beautifully. The name is perfect in my eyes, as it does just give my skin that hydration-injection it needs during colder weather so it looks and feels healthy. The Herbivore moisturiser is a gorgeous water-cream that gives me dewy, glowing skin - again it's much-needed at this time of year!

- BODY ETC. -

In terms of body skincare, there are two products that have been getting me through the winter. The first is a new one on me but a cult favourite for many - the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Vanilla | £11.45. This is so nice and nourishing on my dry winter lips! It really helps keep things nice and soft. I know I mentioned this in my Autumn Edit but I am still loving my Caudalie Divine Oil | £28. In the winter, my skin just needs a little something extra; and this packs in the nourishment without leaving my skin feeling slippery or greasy.

My favourite scent at the moment is the Molton Brown Muddled Plum Eau de Toilette* | £45. This is a warm, rich blend of plum, rum, sandalwood and more - it's perfect for this time of year!
