Summer-to-Autumn Transitional Makeup

Is it really almost Autumn again? I must admit I definitely have the post-holiday blues; it's getting darker in the evenings and I'm sad to say goodbye to the fun and adventure that always seems to be in the air during the Summer months. However it's not all bad - at least we still have Autumnal makeup...? Today I'm sharing the perfect products to take your look from Summer into Autumn.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Nude Cushion Stick Radiant Makeup (4W1) | £28 | review | I'm on my second one of this in the past year and it already seems like I'm running a bit low! However it's such a perfect everyday base that I reach for it on most workdays. It has medium coverage but looks very natural and skin-like. It's nothing overly dewy but gives the skin a healthy look. It's long-lasting and looks nice and radiant (though I do powder my t-zone when I wear this).

Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer (Ginger) | £23 | This is my perfect everyday concealer as it's so quick and easy to use! Despite the name, this really isn't anything overly drying and works beautifully when applied with your fingers but is still long-wearing. It gives incredibly natural but still-sufficient coverage and works well both under the eyes and on blemishes.

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Split Pan in Prosecco Pop / Amaretto | £32 | I love warm tones all year round but this duo is especially perfect for transitioning into Autumn. I love the Becca formulation; the highlighters are unlike anything I've ever tried - they're just so smooth, creamy and pigmented, giving this amazing dewy glow that sits very naturally on the skin, and the Mineral blushers give a sort of luminous finish (this shade in particular is satin-matte), amazing pigmentation and are blend-able and long-wearing. Prosecco Pop is a very warm golden highlight and Amaretto is a warm caramel-brown shade with peachy undertones.

Becca Mineral Blush in Songbird | £26 | Although this is supposed to be the same formula as Amaretto, it's definitely different. It still gives that insane colour payoff, longevity and ease of application, but also has this very subtle but totally beautiful golden sheen running through it. The base colour is hard to describe; it's a sort of orangey-peach tone that's stunning for a sun kissed makeup look but also for something more autumnal.

Milani Strobelight Instant Glow Powder in Sunset Glow* | £13 | I'm such a fan of these highlighters; they give a beautiful, soft, sheeny glow to the skin. They have a smooth formula and look very natural with minimal effort. This shade is perfect for a late summer makeup look as it's a kind of muted bronze-gold colour with amber undertones.

Becca Sunlit Bronzer in Ipanema Sun | £32 | Bronzer is perfect for taking your makeup look into autumn, as it helps keep that summer glow going. I'm kind of obsessed with this product; it looks like it has a slight sheen but this isn't visible once it's applied, it just looks like a luminous matte formula. It's very pigmented, so you only need a light hand, however blends beautifully to add natural warmth and dimension. I love this shade, as it gives me some colour without looking orange.

Zoeva Caramel Melange Eyeshadow Palette | review | £18 | There's something that's just so yummy about this palette! It's pretty much the warm-toned eyeshadow lover's dream as well. It's full of golden, orange and coppery tones with a nice mix of mattes and shimmers, as well as one or two more neutral shades in case you want to tone things down a little. I love the Zoeva eyeshadow formula and this palette is no exception; the mattes are smooth and easy to blend and the shimmers have an amazing, almost foiled effect, plus it has some more satin-like shades and one of the few micro-glitter formulations I like!

Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipstick in Clay Crush | £6.99 | I loooove this lipstick so much! It isn't a super-opaque formula but I can live with that because, as the name suggests, it has a really creamy formula that's comfortable and doesn't cling to dry patches. It does transfer slightly, but still has good longevity. This clay-toned nude with pinky and very warm orange-brown undertones works beautifully in a makeup look with the Becca cheek duo.

MAC Matte Lipstick in Strip Me Down | £16.50 | This is fast-becoming an all-time favourite of mine from MAC! It glides on smoothly and evenly, and isn't drying, despite being a true matte. The colour is hard to describe - it's like a beige brown with slightly warm undertones. Sadly it's no longer available but the permanent shade Taupe is pretty similar.

Urban Decay Comfort Matte Lipstick in Carnal | £15.50 | This is such an amazing formula; it has full pigmentation, amazing wear-time and a creamy texture despite the matte finish. This warm brown with reddish undertones is perfect to add a more autumnal feel to your makeup look.

HudaBeauty Liquid Matte in Girlfriend | £18 | I really like this liquid lipstick formula; it's completely matte but doesn't feel drying or look unflattering on the lips. It has a very fluid formula that sets down and lasts for hours. This shade is a sort of warm beige with brown undertones - it's just on the right side of 'concealer lips' for my skin tone and is a perfect transitional lip colour.

  15. So many beautiful shades! Switching my makeup and wardrobe up are two of the few things I love about Autumn. Berry lips are a go-to for me in the colder months and I really enjoy pulling them out when the weather gets colder. I love the look of the Zoeva Melange palette. I've admired Zoeva's palettes for such a long time, but haven't been able to decide which one to get, they all look gorgeous! This may just be the first one I pick up, as the shades are perfect for Autumn. Xx
