It feels like ages since I last updated you on what's been in my makeup bag, in my 'everyday' drawer and on my face! So today I'm going to talk about what's been my go-to look over the past few weeks.
Base
To start with, I've been priming my face every day with the Too Faced Hangover Primer | £27 | review. This is a nice, cream-based moisturising primer that makes sure my base applies smoothly and doesn't cling to any dry patches. I then go in with the Bobbi Brown Corrector (Peach) | £19.50 | review | before applying foundation. This just helps cancel out the darkness under my eyes with its peachy tone. For foundation I've rediscovered my Nars Sheer Glow (Stromboli) | £31 | review. It's a staple in my makeup collection during pretty much every season besides summer, and every time I go back to it, I fall in love all over again! It has a medium but build-able coverage that gives the skin such a flawless look without being at all heavy. It has a long-wearing satin finish that makes your skin look radiant without being shiny.
As far as concealer goes; I've been reaching for the Kat Von D Lock It Creme Concealer (M27) | £20 | review | and the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer (Medium Neutral) | £17.50 | review. The Kat Von D is very full coverage but not at all drying, so I've been using it under the eyes for a completely flawless look (applying it with a damp beauty sponge). It's a tad too light in colour to use on blemishes (I matched myself to M29 as a face shade so will be ordering that next time I run out of the Urban Decay) which is why I have my Urban Decay one too. This is a very lightweight, natural, but full-coverage formula that covers my blemishes really well without being thick or caky. The shade is fine, though I wish they did a 'Medium Warm'. I've then been finishing off the eye area with the Charlotte Tilbury Mini Miracle (Shade 3) | £29 | review. I actually tried this before I'd ever used the famous YSL Touche Eclat but didn't repurchase this one because I never really used the eye cream end and felt the concealer ran out quite quickly. However I ran out of my Touche Eclat and was near the Charlotte Tilbury boutique in Covent Garden so decided to give this a go again. It gives a radiant finish under the eyes and actually a decent bit of light coverage.
Finally, I always set my makeup. On a day-to-day basis I use the MAC Mineralise Powder (Medium-Dark) | £24 | review. It has very light coverage and a surprisingly radiant look on the skin. It sets my makeup in place and keeps the shine away without looking caky or flat. I then finish with a spritz of the Gerard Cosmetics Slay All Day Setting Spray (Peach) | £14.50. I wouldn't say it's my ultimate favourite but it is a good all-rounder, making my makeup look seamless. I wouldn't say it's amazing at keeping oiliness at bay, however.
Cheeks
I've been using the L'OrĂ©al L'Or Highlighter | £6.99 | review | a lot recently. It's a mousse-like cream formula that reminds me a LOT of the highlighters ColourPop do. It has this beautiful yellow-gold colour that has a natural, dewy finish on the skin without any glitter. In terms of bronzer, I can't stop reaching for the Make Up For Ever Pro Bronze Fusion (30M Sienna) | £28 | review. It just has the most natural finish on the skin; it blends out beautifully without going patchy and I don't have to worry about applying too much. It adds a nice amount of warmth and dimension to my face and is the perfect shade for bronzing in the winter months. For blusher, I'm still all about the Becca Mineral Blush in Amaretto | £32 | review. I love this shade and use it so much that I picked up this Split Pan with the highlighter shade I love (Prosecco Pop) as well as having the full face palette! It's a luminous matte formula and the shade itself is a warm biscuity-brown nude.
Eyes
My priming duo is pretty much always the same, so I'll keep it brief! I first use the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion (Original) | £16 | review | to ensure my eyeshadows stay crease-proof and last as long as possible. I then go in with the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Shadow Stick in Taupe | £21 | review | to even out the colour of my eyelids, to make sure the colours show as true as possible, and to give the powders something to stick to.
I've then been using the Zoeva Caramel Melange Eyeshadow Palette | £18 | review. I've been using the peachy matte tone Universal Delight as a transition a lot and pretty much always smoke it out with the purple-brown with gold glitter, Edible Gem. There are a few lid shades I might opt for (either the yellow-gold shimmer Almost Burnt, the dewy copper shimmer Liquid Centre or the subtly shimmer orange-gold 182 Degrees C) and a variety of crease colours (my favourites are the neutral mid-brown matte Sensual Start and the warm orange-brown matte Start Soft). Obviously it's a very warm look, however Edible Gem is perfect for toning things down a bit. This palette doesn't have a great deal in the way of highlighting shades so for the inner corner I've been opting for the off-white/champagne tone of my Makeup Geek Eyeshadow Pan Shimma Shimma | £6 | review.

To line my eyes I like to start by tight-lining with the matte black ColourPop Creme Gel Eyeliner Pencil in Swerve | $5 | review. I've then been using one of their cream eyeshadows to add some smokiness to the bottom lash line (which is an idea I got from Kathleenlights). I have been opting for the ColourPop Super Shock Shadow in Boy Band | $5 (using the Zoeva Cream Shader, for reference). This is a metallic red-berry tone that's gorgeous for this time of year. Of course I finish my eyeliner with the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner Pen (Intense Black) | £14.50 | review. This is an opaque black liquid eyeliner that's precise and gives that perfect winged liner look without smudging or transferring.
To finish off the eye area, I do my lashes and brows. My current mascara of the moment is the L'oreal False Lash Sculpt | £9.99 | review. The wand just combs right through my lashes and gets right down into the root. It gives my lashes incredible fluttery length and separation. It also doesn't flake or smudge or feel crispy. On my brows, my current favourite pencil is the Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil* (04) | £18.50 | review. I use it with a light hand because it can give quite a bold look but overall I really like how easy this is to use and it doesn't look heavy or unnatural. As usual, I then finish up with the Benefit Gimme Brow Gel* (03) | £18.50 | review | to give my brows some natural hold and thickness.
Lips
On the lips, I've been opting for one of two looks. The first is the MAC Lip Pencil in Spice | £12.50 | review | paired with the MAC Matte Lipstick in Velvet Teddy | £15.50 | review. Spice is a warm, mid-toned nude in a formula that's the perfect mid-point between waxy and creamy. Velvet Teddy is a slightly cooler-toned medium brown and together they're a perfect 'my lips but better' colour. My other option is the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte in Trendsetter | £18. This is one I got for Christmas and I've been obsessed with it ever since. I absolutely love the formula of this; it's not too drying but still wears so well. The shade is a warm terracotta-brown nude that's exactly my sort of thing.

What a BEAUTIFUL flat lay! I think I'm going to reorder Nars sheer glow soon too ( I've been missing it!) The Zoeva Palette looks beautiful and I've been debating the Kat Von D concealer, but was a little worried it'd feel really heavy- but I'm relieved you said it's not drying! ( places order... ) XX

Can you believe that a couple of days ago I picked up my first two MAC lipsticks, I think it has taken me what feels like a lifetime to pick them up, I don't know why I waited so long for one. I really want to pick up velvet teddy as it's a classic I know I'll get lots of wear out of. As for the liner it's such a lovely shade, I really want to try some of their liners now!
