7 Products You Have to Try from Make Up For Ever

Make Up For Ever is one of those brands I'd heard so much about but it's only been in the past year or so that it's become readily available in the UK. I order their products from the website Precious About Makeup because they have such a huge range and usually offer the best price. The options are almost endless so today I'm bringing you my top 7 product recommendations!

Step One Equaliser Radiant Primer in 09 Yellow* | £13 (15ml) | I wasn't sure how I'd like this primer but went into it with an open mind and was pleasantly surprised! It has a nice, smoothing texture that's nothing too silicone-y. It's cream-based and actually feels reasonably hydrating and gives my skin a satin texture. It doesn't ball up or peel and the yellow colour evens out any redness without the need to cake on the concealer. It also helps my base apply smoothly and increase its longevity.

Ultra HD Foundation* | £29 | This has been a surprise hit for me that I'm rediscovering now the temperatures are dropping and my skin is getting dry again. In a bold move, Make Up For Ever reformulated its legendary HD foundation and discontinued the old version. This comes in soooo many shades and Y375 is pretty spot-on for me. This has a medium but build-able coverage and a finish somewhere between satin and dewy. It gives a natural, glowing skin look. It needs setting to ensure it stays in place, as it isn't the longest-wearing formula but I do really like how it looks.

Rouge Artist Lipstick in C107 Mocha Beige* | £17 | These lipsticks were a more recent launch and there are a vast array of shades and finishes available. This is a cream formula so has a slight sheen but is still completely opaque and very pigmented. The shape of the bullet allows you to apply this precisely even without a liner. It actually wears really well for a creamy lipstick and the shade itself is a wearable pinky-brown beige nude.

Pro Light Fusion in 02 Gold* | £28 | I think this has to be one of my favourite highlighters right now; it just has the smoothest formula that doesn't look at all powdery or glittery. It's hard to explain but it doesn't sit on top of the skin, it just gives it an amazing (but still quite natural) glow. It's a true, warm gold shade that's perfect for my skin tone, however there's also a more pink-coloured option.

Pro Bronze Fusion in 30M Sienna | £28 | I've been using this bronzer pretty much every single day for the past month or two. It has that same natural, almost traceless quality as the highlighter. It never goes patchy and whilst pigmented, it's virtually impossible to go overboard when applying this. The shade itself is spot-on for me; it's warming but isn't orange so can still be used to add definition to the face.

Empty Duo Palette | £4 | & Eyeshadows in M600 Pink Brown* & ME654 Cauldron | £12.50 each | I'd heard incredible things about the Make Up For Ever eyeshadows and these two shades did not disappoint! For my duo, I wanted shades that would work on their own for a quick, everyday look. Really, the only thing that's missing is a highlighting shade but I just use my face highlighter for that. Cauldron is an interesting colour with a metallic finish - it has hints of bronze, gold and olive and looks incredible across the lids. Pink Brown is a matte shade (and the colour is as the name would suggest) which helps add definition to the look. I was so impressed with how smooth and pigmented these were. They don't crease and by the end of the day, the colours still look pretty vibrant. I was also impressed at the size of the pans for just slightly more than MAC eyeshadows.

  9. Mocha Beige looks like a beautiful everyday nude shade! I have tried and love almost everything from MUFE except the HD foundation, it just sits on my skin and I dislike it. I do like to mix it with Water Blend foundation, it's the only way I could wear it.

  23. That Mocha Beige lipstick is calling to me, great picks. I love their highlighter. Wasn't a fan of their bronzer, it doesn't do much for my skin at all. But love the brand as a whole, I think they are excellent. Have you tried any of their other foundations? I am really curious about the stick one xxx

  27. Mocha Beige looks beautiful!. The Pro Bronze Fusion has been on my wish list for quite some time. No matter how many times I use the Ultra HD I just don't get on with it. It always looks like it's sitting on top of my skin and makes me oily really fast. It works for so many people, just not for me. I like that they have an extensive shade selection though.
