The Best of Soap & Glory

It’s no secret I’m a bit of a Soapoholic (check out my Instagram post for the receipts…) so I though it was time I did a post of my absolute favourites. I’ll be covering off not just their body products but also their facial skincare and makeup ranges.

Body

Whipped Clean is a gateway product… I thought I’d kick it off with the product that begun my current obsession with my favourite Soap & Glory scent. This has a gorgeous oat-y, sugary, almond scent and I love the formula. It’s super-nourishing but still foams up nicely. Although I love the similarly-scented traditional shower gel Rich and Foamous, there’s something that bit more luxurious about using this creamy formula.

The next step in the yummy routine is the Breakfast Scrub. It smells like syrup, porridge oats, pancakes and banana. My stomach is rumbling just from typing this… Not only does it smell incredible but it has a nice nourishing formula that removes any dead, dry skin without feeling too harsh.

Finishing up the little Smoothie Star Holy Trinity is this super-hydrating body lotion. I love the handy pump and these bottles from Soap & Glory seem to last forever! It smells of oats, almond, honey… basically all the good stuff! I love how quick and easy this is to slap on for instant nourishment to my dry skin, especially at this time of year.

This is an absolute classic, so sorry I just had to include a second body butter product! The Righteous Butter comes in the Original Pink scent; that immediately identifiable Soap & Glory fragrance I’m sure you’re all familiar (fruity but with a hint of musk). It’s such a rich, intensive formula for really dry skin like mine that doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy and sinks right in. I often use this before bed for overnight hydration and to have that ‘smooth legs against bedding’ feeling.

Hand Food | £5.50

Also in the Original Pink fragrance is Hand Food. Where has this been all my life? I’m making up for lost time by wearing this absolutely every day! It’s the only hand cream I’ve tried that’s so nourishing and hydrating without being heavy or thick. I wear this during the daytime and it keeps my dry hands feeling soft all day long, no matter how many times I wash them (for night time I love Endless Glove - post).

Fruitigo is a bit of an underrated scent in the Soap & Glory family and I think this product is actually the only one I own from the range (I need to fix that!) This body spray was my go-to over summer when I just wanted a fresh fragrance top-up during the day and I still keep it in my handbag for on-the-go. It’s a fizzy, fig scent that will be perfect again once Spring and Summer come back round.

Skincare

This moisturiser has been a life-saver for me lately! Although my skin is blemish-prone it can get really dehydrated, especially with the cold weather and central heating during winter. Speed Pump isn’t too rich and sinks into my skin nicely without feeling like too much on the oilier patches. It plumps out any dehydration lines and leaves my skin feeling nourished without any excess sat on the surface.

I feel like the name makes it seem like this is a much harsher product than it is but I promise it’s not abrasive in the slightest! It’s a sort of paste-like consistency with some very gentle exfoliating particles. You actually use it a bit more like a mask in the t-zone, so whilst you massage it in you aren’t scrubbing away at your face. Within minutes it leaves my skin feeling clean, fresh and looking brighter and less oily and blemished.

Makeup

This primer is definitely at risk of becoming one of those products I won’t stop bleating on about… However it’s the best drugstore option I’ve tried by a mile and is well worth the extra couple of pounds more expensive it is than some of the others available. It has a cream consistency so feels fairly hydrating on the skin, unlike other shine-reducing primers I’ve tried. It doesn’t have the slippery feeling of a silicone-based formula and doesn’t ball up and separate out from your moisturiser. It reduces my shine without feeling at all drying on my skin and ensures my makeup stays in place during even my longest days.

This still has to be my top drugstore brow product and my overall favourite for everyday wear. Although it only comes in two shades, luckily Hot Chocolate is perfect for me (not too grey or too reddish in tone). I love the thin pencil end that you can wind up (so no blunt pencil disasters!) and the spooly really is a great one. The pencil is the perfect degree of firmness; it doesn’t crumble under pressure but it’s soft enough to get the colour payoff.

This product was a bit of a slow-burner for me but I’ve ended up loving it as an everyday shade. The formula is creamy but nice and pigmented. The packaging and presentation feel nicely premium with the satisfying click of the lid and ‘S&G’ embossment on the bullet. Perfect Day is my go-to dusky pink nude lip shade for everyday.

Finally is my all-time favourite eyeliner! I’ve tried super hyped-up (and more expensive!) eyeliner pens like the Stila and the Kat Von D but whilst they’re good, they don’t do it for me like Supercat. It’s incredibly pigmented and black, staying nice and inky for months without drying out or going a wishy-washy grey colour. The nib is firm but not scratchy at all and is the perfect shape and size for winged liner.

What are your favourite Soap & Glory products?
