These are my beauty and fashion purchases from this weekend and my first impressions!
Superdrug, Boots & Feel Unique
As I mentioned in my last post I received my Real Techniques Sam's Picks Set (£29.99) and I've been loving it so far. My favourites are the large pink-handled brush (which I use for face powder) the smaller pink-handled brush (which I use for blusher) and the larger purple-handled brush (which I use for applying eyeshadow to my crease). If you want to win this set, and lots more beauty treats, head over to my giveaway and enter there.
I also picked up a couple of skincare products I ran out of or am running low in. These were the La Roche Posay Soothing Physiological Toner (£12, review here), which leaves my skin super-soft, and the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water (currently £3.32 at Superdrug, post here), which I use to remove my makeup.
Also, in the seemingly never-ending Maybelline buy-one-get-one-half-price in Superdrug, I picked up the Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm in Pink Punch (£2.99 full price) and the Matte Maker Face Powder in Sun Beige (£3.99). I haven't tried the lip balm yet but I'm really impressed with the face powder and I'll be reviewing it soon!
Makeup Revolution
I picked up a few Makeup Revolution bits in Superdrug. I've really been impressed with the Focus and Fix Eye Primer in Original (£2.50) and the Pro Fix Makeup Fixing Spray (£5), as they've really helped keep my makeup in place. I've also tried out the Amazing Care Lipstick in Love Nude (£3), which is actually not 'concealer lips'-y at all! I also picked up a £1 Lipstick in Enchant and a £1 Nail Polish in Are You Still Available?, which I haven't tried yet.
Here are the lip products swatched (Love Nude at the top, then Enchant beneath)
Mememe Cosmetics
I actually realised that Mememe were at the Clothes Show yeeeears back when I started browsing their website after seeing them on someone else's blog. So I was able to pick up an old favourite, the Eye Inspire Classic Trio in Desire Eyes (£5.50). I also picked up a Dew Pot in Willow Whisper (£7.25), the Little Angels Collection (£15) and the Coral Blossom Tint (£5.50). I think between the two pot them I have all their highlighters and lip/cheek tints, which are of course dupes of the Benefit ones, so I'll be reviewing them all soon :)
I can't remember the discount code I used but I got 25% off! It's definitely worth a google.
Missguided
Another disappointing order! To be fair Missguided is an online retailer so you don't know what things will be like until they arrive. There are 2 items I'm keeping from the order; the Dena Suede Shell Top in Taupe (£14.99) and the Lindy Brush Stroke Playsuit (£24.99). The other items were just really baggy and ill-fitting unfortunately! The playsuit is a little baggy round the waist but overall I do really like it (though I wasn't really fussed about getting another 'going out' outfit).
So there you have it. What do you guys think of my buys?
