What I Got for my Birthday

I genuinely wonder if I will ever feel like a 'real adult' - I'm officially 25 so you'd have thought it would've kicked in by now! It really is crazy how time flies (cliche, I know!) but today we're doing the fun bit: what I actually got for my birthday this year. Some of this will be more of a 'show' than a 'tell' but if there's anything specific you'd like to read a review of then please let me know and I'll be sure to update you as soon as I can.

Fashion

Betsy & Floss Palermo Round Basket Bag | I've wanted one of these bags for ages and this one from Betsy and Floss is beautiful, high-quality and not extortionate. It's lined with fabric on the inside and there's a popper fastening so it's secure but easy to open and close. My only real negative is that the strap isn't adjustable, so you can't change the length. It's still a decent enough size and I took this on holiday to France with me - it's the perfect addition to my summer wardrobe!

Missguided Rose Gold Dome Stud Gladiator Sandals | My mum all but admitted that she bought me these because she wanted them and they had my size but not hers! Missguided can be a bit hit and miss with quality but the reviews are really good of these sandals and I can see why. I love having sandals that are just a bit fancier than your usual plan black or tan because you can look glammed up for the evening without wearing heels. They also dress up basics nicely, especially when you're on holiday - these go really well with a plain black jumpsuit I have.

Arabic Name Necklace | This is such a beautiful and unique addition to my jewellery collection; I absolutely love it! It's especially perfect as this is obviously the script the name 'Jasmine' originated from. It seems very well-made too.

Lily Rose London Gold Bumble Bee Necklace | I actually got a second necklace - this one was from my aunt. It's so pretty and dainty and I can't stop wearing it! I never used to wear necklaces unless they were very chunky and 'statemen't; but this is perfect for everyday wear.

Lifestyle

S'well the White Marble Traveller Bottle | I love these temperature-control bottles - they keep my drinks hot or cold for hours on end! This is such a pretty one and it fits perfectly into my handbag, so I can just fill up for on the go instead of spending a fortune on bottled water and wasting plastic.

Moddershall Oaks Spa Day | This was one of my main gifts from my mum. This spa is conveniently located near Stoke on Trent, which is kind of equidistant from Birmingham (where I live) and Manchester (where she lives). It's absolutely beautiful and it was so sunny, meaning we spent plenty of time having prosecco in their outdoor hot tub and relaxation area! I had a lovely Elemis massage and facial and we spent some time relaxing in their lovely indoor pools and saunas too. I felt super relaxed afterwards!

Haircare

IGK Hair Expensive Amla Oil Hi-Shine Topcoat | I've been wanting to try this brand for ages so a couple of their products made it onto my wish list and my mum ended up getting these for me. This is a cream product I use instead of my usual conditioner once or twice a week and so far I love it - it makes my hair look so sleek and shiny without weighing it down!

IGK Hair Jet Lag Invisible Dry Shampoo | I'm also seriously enjoying this dry shampoo! It soaks up oil and gives a bit of volume with no white residue, plus it doesn't irritate my scalp. The great thing about this product and several of the others is that they come in mini form too, in case you just want to try the product before splashing out.

Skincare

Drunk Elephant NighBright Duo | I'm not going to lie - I had expected these to be slightly larger, however I guess it's not that surprising given the price of the full-sized products. This is just a great little way to sample the brand before committing and it comes with their famous Marula Oil and their Glycolic Acid serum. I haven't had a chance to try the serum yet but the oil is lovely - it's lightweight, non-greasy and super hydrating. Drunk Elephant will be launching in the UK later this year so I will probably pick up a larger bottle then.

Herbivore Pink Cloud Rosewater Moisture Cream | This is another brand I was really excited to try more from, after getting their rosewater mist in New York a little while back. It's very refreshing and hydrating and so far I really like it! It definitely has a dewier look to it, so probably won't be for oily complexions, but I'm pretty into that 'fresh skin' look at the moment.

Makeup

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Dreamsicle | I'm not sure if this is coming to the UK or not but my mum got me this from the Sephora website. It's a really different colour for a highlighter - a sort of warm satsuma tone. I think it's gorgeous for summer and of course it comes in Becca's famous super-intense, dewy-look powder formula.

Pat McGrath MTHRSHP Sublime Bronze Ambition Eyeshadow Palette | I've wanted to try something from this brand for ages - the formulas are raved about but come with a hefty price tag! I'm so grateful to have got something from the collection for my birthday. These shades are nothing new to me but with a palette like this; it's all about the formula, so I wanted shades I'd reach for all the time. So far, this hasn't disappointed! The shimmers genuinely go on like they're foiled and as though I've used something like Fix + when I just applied them bare - they're totally opaque with one swipe and have a gorgeous dewy effect on the lids. I can't wait to use this even more! Yes, the packaging could have been something other than plastic and cardboard and it would've been nice to have had the shades on the palette itself, but I get it; the focus is on performance.

Thank you so, so much to my amazing family for the gifts I got this year (on the off chance you're reading this!) And don't forget to comment below if there's anything in particular you'd like me to post a full review of.

Do you have any of the things mentioned? What do you think of them?
