Easy on the Eyes

Sometimes you just want a bit of something on your eyes but don't want to put in loads of effort! Maybe you're running late, you've got an active day ahead of you or you're planning something really chilled out. For those days, easy eyeshadow is essential and these are my favourites for that sort of look.

ColourPop Super Shock Shadow in Sunset Blvd | $5 | I looove this cream eyeshadow formula - it has this interesting sponge texture. This is a stunning wash of colour in a nude shade with a subtle golden sheen. It's beautiful all over the lid, especially for a golden summery makeup look, and can be applied in seconds using your finger. It's so long-lasting and I've worn this in the heat for hours on end without it creasing.

H&M Eye Shadow Act Your Beige | £4.99 | I can never seem to find this shade online but definitely check it out in-store. It's a really nice eyeshadow formula that has the perfect level of pigment for a 'one swipe' eyeshadow look. It has quite a crumbly texture but still lasts well on me. What I really love is that the soft, satin sheen places this somewhere in-between a matte and a shimmer finish.

Inglot Aquastic Cream Eye Shadow in 15* | £13 | This is one of the few wet-look liquid eyeshadows that doesn't matte down when it dries but is still amazingly long-wearing.You can just swipe this super-pigmented formula directly onto the lid and blend out the edges - you really don't need to use a lot of product! It has a metallic finish in a neutral-toned taupe-brown shade.

MAC Peintures Paint in Bamboom | £16 | Get it while you can because this liquid-cream eyeshadow is being discontinued! It's a pinky-brown colour that has warm and taupe-y undertones at the same time (somehow!) It has a really subtle golden sheen running through it, which is what makes it unique in my collection. It's very opaque and pigmented, so you don't need much product at all. It blends beautifully but sets down and has amazing longevity.

By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Bronze Moon | £29 | This is stunning if you're willing to make the splurge! The texture is just so smooth, it glides right onto the lid and has a dewy, wet-look finish. It sets down to a lasting finish without losing that beautiful finish and can also be used as a liner. It looks so amazing and multidimensional that it makes it look as though you made way more effort than you did! The colour is a classic, fool-proof brown bronze that's neither overly cool nor too warm.

Make Up Geek Eyeshadow Pan in Frappe | £4.95 | I rarely go for matte all over the lid, but there's something about this shade that really works. You can just take a large fluffy brush and blend it across the lid and into the crease in seconds. I really love the smooth, easy-to-blend formula, as it's so pigmented and lasts incredibly well (plus has minimal fallout). It's a matte mid-toned caramel brown with very warm undertones.

MAC Pro Refill Eyeshadow Pan in Woodwinked | £10 | I've hit pan on this shade, which should give you a clue as to how much I love it! It's another one of those shades that's so multifaceted, it looks as though you applied several shades when really it's just a wash of one colour. It also has a soft metallic sheen that's not overly shimmery. The shade itself is is a warm mid-toned golden-bronze brown shimmer. It lasts incredibly well on  me and it isn't a crazy-pigmented formula, though that really works for me when I'm going for this sort of look.

Make Up Geek Foiled Eyeshadow Pan in Grandstand | £7.95 | I absolutely love these foiled eyeshadows because they have this insane pigment and give a smooth, dewy-shimmer finish that's stunning on the eyes and has pretty decent longevity. It's definitely the sort of shade that looks beautiful even when worn alone; it's a coppery rose gold that's warm in undertone but still remains very wearable.

  1. Such a good selection - although my default all-over shade is matte! If I don't know what to wear, I'll go for a ton of MAC's Soft Brown all over.

  18. I still can't believe I haven't tried any H&M makeup yet. That shade is perfect and I don't mind a crumbly shadow as long as it lasts on the lid. Also, that pun is too cute haha! xxx
