Festive Bath & Body Picks

Winter evenings usually mean relaxing baths and Christmas of course sees the release of so many amazing products! These are a few that I've been enjoying at the moment.

Philosophy Snow Angel Bath and Shower Gel* | £14.50 | The Philosophy bath and shower products are a Christmas tradition for me and this year I've been loving Snow Angel. It's hard to describe the scent - is it possible to smell of ice and glitter with a bit of sugar thrown in? It's a beautiful foaming shower gel but you can also add it to your bath tub for serious bubbles!

The Body Shop Spiced Apple Shower Gel | £5 | Although I was gutted that Glazed Apple didn’t make a return this year, I think I might like Spiced Apple even more. As the name would suggest, it’s a lot more cinnamon-y and reminds me of warm spiced apple cider! I really like the new Body Shop packaging and I always find their shower gels to be good value for money; they tend to last me a while and have a nice, foaming formula.

The Body Shop Vanilla Chai Shower Gel | £5 | This is another new scent for 2016 and I was seriously excited about it! This is a subtle, again slightly spicy, vanilla scent; there’s nothing overly sweet or artificial about it. This one has a slightly creamier texture than the Spiced Apple but still foams up nicely, whilst being extra-nourishing.

Lush Rose Jam Shower Gel | £16.50 | This is my favourite Lush shower gel these days, I think! Back in the day I was a Snow Fairy girl through and through, but I just love the sweet and floral scent of this and how it fills my bathroom every time I use it! I have a pretty big bottle but, believe it or not, there’s an even huger one available (which is 1kg!) This only comes out at Christmas so if you’re a huge fan that’s well worth picking up now or in the Boxing Day Sales. However, failing that, the bubble bar is available all year round and has the same incredible fragrance.

Lush Luxury Christmas Pud Bath Bomb | £4.25 (500g) | I actually had this last year for the first time and loved it. Despite its appearance, this is actually a sort of milky-lavender scent that I find so relaxing. It also turns the bath water a pinky-multicolour tone, which just never gets old for me!

Lush Fireside Soap | £4.25 | This is a lovely foaming solid soap which smells incredible! It's hard to describe but fireside embers are exactly what this reminds me of; it's a warm, slightly spicy scent with cloves and vanilla.

Lush Butterbear Bath Bomb | £1.95 | This smells so nice and relaxing to me and turns my bathwater a milky colour (though it's not really a 'bubbly' option). I actually found my skin felt softer and more nourished after soaking in the tub with this. It contains cocoa butter, ylang ylang and cocoa powder.

Lush Golden Wonder Bath Bomb | £4.25 | I find the scent of this hard to describe; it's kind of sweet, warm and slightly fruity. Although you wouldn't have guessed from the look of it before you drop it into your bath, it turns the water multicoloured. It's also absolutely huge so keeps fizzing away for ages and really filled my bathroom with it's fragrance.

What are your favourite festive scents and products?

  1. Rose Jam sounds pretty good, I'll have to go and see what the scent is like the next time I'm in store. My all time favourite shower gel from Lush was one called 'Glogg' and it smelled SO perfect to me, like cinnamon and apples and gingerbread combined.

  2. I had to sniffed Vanilla Chai for the second time to fall for it, and I fell so hard. It smells so delicious, and I always ended up running for closest coffee shop for chai latte.

  3. I'm obsessed with LUSH! I just used Golden Wonder last night (along with a chunk of the Christmas Penguin bubble bar) and it was such a relaxing, festive experience. The scent lingered on my skin for hours after. Christmas baths have become my new favorite thing! Thank you for all the lovely recommendations!

  7. I am not a bath person because I don't see the point of soaking myself but after started working again, I finally understood why many look forward to a bath at the end of a very long day. LOL! Thank you for these recommendations, Jasmine, will have to pick up a couple for myself.

  13. Spiced Apple and Vanilla Chai sound amazing, love the sound of the Butter Bear bath bomb but I do like bubbles in my bath so that is a shame. Great post, these all sound lovely. Thanks for sharing! The only question I have really is your best tips to juggle full-time work and blogging, which is something I struggle with immensely? Great post Jasmine x

  15. I love the Golden Wonder bath bomb! I stock up on it every Christmas. It's hard having Christmas in the summer because everything is all wintery and warm but I prefer the fruity scents in the summer and the festive makeup is too much for the summer!
