The Dirty Peach Edit

Dirty Peach is shaping up to be the beauty trend of Autumn 2016 and I have to say I'm totally on board with that! These are my favourite autumnal peach tones and a few other shades that really compliment this sort of look.

Lips

Of course this trend is pretty much all about the lips! I tend to go for deeper shades to suit me personally but any muted peach tone with hints of brown will work; it's all about finding ways to wear the look that suit you personally.

Kylie Dirty Peach Liner | $29 (for a kit) | review | I have to start with the product I think kicked off this trend! I really didn't like the liquid lipstick formula (though there are dupes of that coming up!) but this pencil is really nice and creamy and I love the shade. This is the perfect peach tone that's somehow muted but vibrant at the same time. It can be worn on its own or will pair perfectly with any of the other lip shades in this post.

ColourPop Matte Lippie Stick in Rayezor | $5 | Sadly this has been discontinued but I want to mention it because it's the shade that really got me into peachier tones, plus you may still be able to grab it on Depop. This is pretty much my perfect peachy-nude as it has enough brown in it to be flattering on my skin tone. I'm a huge fan of the ColourPop Matte Lippie Stix, as they've very creamy and comfortable to wear, though I'd argue they have more of a satin finish as opposed to being true mattes.

ColourPop Matte X Lippie Stick Hotline | $5 | This shade is on the very edge of what I can pull off given that it's more of a light-medium tone but I really like it! This is more of a true peach shade however it still has slightly brown undertones. This is a truer matte finish and still isn't at all drying on my lips. Be warned: there's a lot of ColourPop in this post because they recently released an entire peach-themed collection so I obviously did a haul.

ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip in Screenshot | $6 | This is pretty much an identical colour dupe of the Kylie Dirty Peach liquid lipstick but has a much better formula and is a fraction of the price; so it's an all-round winner! Regular readers will know I love this formula - although it isn't quite completely matte on the lips, it's just so comfortable to wear. Despite looking like a liquid lipstick it just feels very creamy. It's very long-wearing but there's no dryness or flaking. The shade is almost vibrant on the lips and I can imagine it would also look great in summer when I've got a bit of a tan.

ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in Speed Dial | $6 | I reckon ColourPop have reformulated these because this is much less drying and more comfortable to wear than any of the others I've tried previously from this range. I do still prefer the Ultra Satins but this does give a completely matte finish. This is a bit more of a vibrant, warm-toned take on the trend and is perfect if you want to try this look and have a deeper skin tone.

Cheeks

I pretty much always try to tie my cheek colour in with what I'm wearing on my lips and the shades I've picked out here pair perfectly with these kinds of 'dirty peach' looks.

MAC Blush Pro Refill Pan in Gingerly | £15 | I definitely need to get more use out of this shade, as it's so understated but great! It's a muted peachy gingerbread colour with brown undertones - it works so nicely with a orange-toned red lip and (for the purposes of this post) paired with a 'dirty peach' lip. It has a matte finish but blends out without any patchiness and wears well throughout the day.

Too Faced Love Flush Blush in Baby Love | £25 | I feel like photos really don't do this justice and it never quite shows how it looks in real life, however this is the perfect peachy-mauve-nude blush. It works really well with shades like RAYEzor and Hotline. Although it has a sheen, it doesn't really translate to the cheeks. I find the formula so soft and easy to blend out with no work whatsoever.

Clinique Cheek Pop Blush in Fig Pop | $32 | Annoyingly you can't get this shade in the UK (despite the collection being available here) so I've linked to Sephora. Anyway, this rich plummy-peachy-mauve shade works well with a colour like Speed Dial. This has to be one of my all-time favourite blusher formulas, as it has a very subtle sheen and the perfect level of pigmentation so you get the colour payoff whilst still being hard to go overboard with. It applies evenly and has great wear-time.

Eyes

This kind of look pairs beautifully with a warm eyeshadow look and these are my top picks - some of them are peachy but there are also a few other shades that will look perfect with a dirty peach lip.

ColourPop Super Shock Shadow in Melrose | $5 | This is a gorgeous terracotta-rust tone with a matte finish. ColourPop eyeshadows are cream in formula but have a really unusual, almost mousse-y texture. It's so pigmented and long-wearing and looks perfect with a warm, peachy makeup look.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette | £41 | review | This is basically the ultimate Autumnal warm-toned eyeshadow palette so it looks amazing with these sorts of colours. I absolutely love the quality and texture of these eyeshadows because they have great payoff whilst still being very easy to work with. I've just swatched a couple of the shades I like to wear with a peach makeup look below, however do check out my full review too!

  1. The Colourpop lippies are all gorgeous, but I don't think darker skin tones like myself can pull it off 😩 . But the shock eyeshadow in Melrose on the other hand looks scrumptious and I really want to get it! Love this edit none the less 💛

  9. I'm totally loving the dirty peach shades too! I've got Bumble from Colourpop which is a bit more on the burnt terrocota side, but these dark warm oranges remind me of crisp leaves and all things Autumn! Lovely post as always :) xx

  11. I only ever really go with peach tones on my cheeks as I think they look really natural and glowy. The Too Faced blushers are some of my favourites, Peach Beach from them is also gorgeous, it's like a glow from within. x

  13. Those are some really gorgeous shades. I love peachy tones but I'm not sure I could wear dirty peach shades on my lips, it will likely wash me out. MAC Gingerly is such a pretty blush.

  26. This is definitely a colour way I can get on board with. Rimmel 38 is one of my favourite lipsticks of all time and looking at your lip swatches it definitely has a "dirty peach" vibe to it, so I'm keen to try your other suggestions!! Also still want Too Faced Baby Love!
