June Favourites

June has been an epically spendy month so there are a lot of favourites! At the same time I feel like I’ve hardly got round to using some of the products I’ve bought this month so they may even crop up in July’s run-down.

Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche Skinscent | £50

This is one of those fragrances that was so familiar to me when I sprayed it in Duty Free despite the fact I've never actually owned it myself. It honestly is the warm coconut-y vanilla-y scent of summer in a bottle. Even just the packaging is so beautiful and summery!

I really wish this formula wore a little bit better because it’s absolutely beautiful when first applied. I’ve never tried a stick foundation because I’ve always associated them with being really thick and creamy in texture. However this is so light and natural; think of it as your skin but better. It’s hard to describe the finish because it’s not ‘wet’ or dewy but it isn’t matte. It looks so radiant and even when I’m not using it all over my face it’s perfect for throwing in my bag for touch-ups. By some fluke the shade Grandest Golden Neutral is absolutely perfect on me too.

I’m kicking myself for not getting more of these brushes because I love the #55 for light foundations and this is another amazing addition to my collection. The bristles are longer and more flexible than a buffing brush but are tightly-packed enough to work on blemishes. It’s amazing to apply the product to any problem areas, to conceal redness or uneven skin tone, and also to blend concealer out naturally and seamlessly under the eyes.

This is such an unusual highlighter and is completely different to anything else in my collection. It’s quite hard to show in swatches but it looks a light gold shade on first appearances, however when it catches the light you can see the iridescent tones. It has a really subtle metallic peachy-pink sheen to it. The product is pigmented and not at all greasy or glittery. I just dab it over the top of my cheekbones and blend it out with my fingers.

The colour of this is a little bit like what Dream Catcher is at a glance: a very light gold. This is obviously a powder formula however and has a really dewy, glowing finish. It has a really beautiful look on the skin and I’m really glad I took the plunge and picked this up because I’ve been using it almost every day.

It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Tarte blushes because I usually find matte formulas difficult to blend and that they cling to dry patches or wear away unevenly, however their's doesn’t at all! It also has a shimmer shade in there, along with the 3 mattes. My favourite shade is the lilac-pink Love because it’s suitable for everyday wear however has this gorgeous vibrancy to it that really brings my face to life. I was a little concerned that the quality wouldn’t be the same as the individual blushes, however my fears were totally unfounded!

I tried my first ColourPop bronzer a couple of months back and was so impressed with the formula, however I think I may have found a shade that surpasses Bronze Me! First, let’s talk formula: it’s a cream product but ColourPop are amazing at producing formulas that are pigmented and non-greasy. It just applies so smoothly (I like to use a synthetic brush) and gives the most natural warmth to the face.

I’ve pretty much been alternating between the ColourPop and this. I’m not usually much of a bronzer fan as they’re often not the right kind of shade for me so I’m amazed to have one in my favourites, let alone two! This is one of the best powder formulas I’ve tried, as it blends out so easily and doesn’t look patchy or uneven on my skin. The shade is just spot on; it’s not orange but gives my skin some warmth. It just looks so natural and can be applied in seconds with a large powder brush.

This is an amazing cream eyeshadow formula that’s got incredible longevity. I really like the fact it comes in a tube and it’s actually really easy to control how much product comes out. It looks quite dewy on the lids but dries down quickly to the most insanely crease-proof finish ever! The colour is a deep, chocolate-y brown with a subtle golden shimmer running through it.

This is a sort of foiled pressed cream pigment. It’s quite hard to describe the texture but it has the amazing pigmentation and a super-dewy finish. This is a gorgeous coppery-rose gold shade that looks amazing all over the lid on its own or as a base for an evening look. It’s amazingly long-lasting and doesn’t crease  on my oily eyelids.

I’m seriously obsessed with Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadows so it’s killing me that they don’t have a UK stockist! Next time I do a Sephora order though (which won’t be for a very long time), I will definitely be getting some more. I love the colour payoff, the texture is the perfect balance of being easy to blend but still having that longevity and impact on the eyelids. This is just my perfect plum-toned quad: Glisten is a nude-bronze with rose gold undertones, Red Earth is a pinky-brown matte, Truffle is a deep brown-burgundy with a subtle shimmer and Deep Plum is a matte.

I’m a little bit addicted to applying and re-applying this product because it just feels so amazing on the lips! I’ve never been one for glosses but this has such a non-sticky finish that you get that same look without the annoyance, as well as an amazing lip care product. It’s so nourishing and is amazing for those low-maintenance makeup days.

I finally got my first ever Tom Ford lipstick! It is just a lipstick at the end of the day but it is a fantastic formula. It’s a really nice rosy shade that can work for the day or evening. It has a smooth, creamy formula that’s very pigmented but also has a slight sheen. I was pleasantly surprised at how long this lasted and even when it does fade, it leaves a very even stain.

I feel like I’ve barely worn anything else this month because it’s been all about this shade, which is saying a lot when your lipstick stash is as extensive as mine! I really love the Ultra Satin formula as it still gives a semi-matte finish without being really drying like the Ultra Mattes. It isn’t quite as long-lasting but I can still get a good 4-6 hours of wear out of it. I also love how opaque the colour is. It’s a sort of warm peachy-brown nude that seems to look different on everyone from online swatches! I was actually concerned it’d be too light on my skin tone but it turns out it's a perfect everyday colour.

I think this moisturiser has officially overtaken the Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boost Gel as my favourite for summer! It has such a light texture that practically melts into the skin, providing pure hydration. I have combination skin, so it definitely needs moisture but anything heavy or rich just sits on the surface and makes me look greasy! If you suffer from similar issues then I definitely recommend trying this.

God, this shampoo is extortionate but god, it’s good! The bottle seems to be lasting me well so I think this may be a repurchase (with a discount code, obviously). It just gives my hair this amazing, healthy shine and it’s never looked better. I’ve tried products before that make my hair look healthier and stronger but never to this degree! I honestly didn’t think my hair could ever look so nourished.

What do you think of my favourites this month and what were some of yours?

  2. Amazing selection that screams summer! I really regret not getting that tarteist palette when I could last year.
I found some stick foundation to be too stiff. How creamy is Clinique stick foundation? Is it as creamy and blendable as the chubby sticks?
