A New Drugstore Mascara | Seventeen's Long Lash*

Today I have a brand new launch to give you a little sneak peak of. As I've mentioned before, I think Seventeen is a seriously underrated drugstore brand and as I'm a big fan of their Falsifeye HD Mascara so I was very excited to give the Long Lash Mascara* (£6.99) a try.

I avoid spending much on mascara as it dries up so quickly, so I'm always on the lookout for great drugstore finds. Personally, I'm all about the length when it comes to lashes, though it's very much an individual preference.

I was surprised when I unsheathed this mascara and saw that whilst it has a fairly thin wand, it's a fibre brush. I do tend to prefer the rubber wand, and find them more common with lengthening mascaras but I kept an open mind. This definitely gives me more volume than the Falsifeye HD, possibly because of the fibre applicator. It isn't as separating but it gives my lashes a nice curl and some impressive length.

For me this is a lovely everyday mascara or for the evenings when I want something a bit more dramatic for a night out, the small wand makes this perfect for the bottom lashes. My eye area can get quite oily so I also really like that this doesn't transfer or flake over time and my eyelashes still look long, voluminous and curled at the end of the day.

Seventeen's Long Lash Mascara will be available from Boots from the 31st of January.

What is your favourite Seventeen mascara? Do you go for length or volume?

  1. Agree that Seventeen is underrated, there are some really good products. I also prefer rubber wands, they seem to separate my lashes better than fiber brushes. I like how thin the wand is and it sounds really promising. My favourite one from Seventeen is Doll'd up mascara. xx

  2. Thanks for the information! Good to hear this mascara works on oily lids. I have trouble finding good mascara because of that, they always smudge and transfer.

  4. This sounds like something I should definitely try. I'm all about inexpensive mascaras because they don't last long in the grand scheme of things. I'm pleased to hear it gives a good curl too, as this is my primary requirement in a mascara because my eyelashes are super straight! Xx

  5. I think I've only chanced upon your blog once or twice before this time and my impression remains the same; you are extremely eloquent with your product reviews and do them so well!

I've not tried Seventeen before just because we don't get them at drugstores here, but this sounds fantastic!

I hope you had a lovely Christmas, Jasmine, cheers!
