Trying Sisley | Harrods Gift with Purchase*

Sisley isn't a brand I've explored much (other than a few longing looks in the aisles of Space NK) so I was really excited to receive a gift with purchase from Harrods to feature. This is more of an FYI with some first impressions as I haven't had the products long enough to give you a full review. This bag full of goodies is available when you spend £160 on Sisley through Harrods online until the 21/10, so hurry! Sisley isn't a cheap brand so it's very easy to qualify for this if you're running low on your favourites or you're doing a bit of early Christmas shopping. This is a pretty perfect introduction to the brand as I would never buy a full-sized luxury product I hadn't tried before and whilst you can always get little testers on counters, you get so much more of a feel for the product with these larger samples. I also really like the high-quality pouch everything comes in as it's the perfect size to pop in your handbag.

So far, this is my favourite of the skincare bunch. You get such a  nice-sized sample, especially considering you only need a tiny amount. I've tried a lot of these kinds of cleansers to melt away makeup however this was the one I've needed the least of for it to be effective. It's also the lightest formula I've tried so it feel beautiful on the skin as well as being very effective. My skin
looked and felt so soft and fresh after use, I think I would recommend using this as a morning cleanser instead to get your money's worth.

I find it quite hard to gauge toners so I will update you on this one. I found it really nice and soothing on my skin (which was feeling quite tired and dehydrated at the time). Again, I was impressed at how much the overall quality of my skin seemed to have improved after use. It looked so much healthier and brighter.

I actually recognised this scent and I think it will be familiar to a lot of people. It's quite a deep, unisex scent for Autumn/Winter with floral notes along with amber and musk. Although there are elements of this fragrance I really like, overall these more masculine scents aren't really my cup of tea. It's long-lasting and smells very elegant and sophisticated.

Instant Perfect*

This is a sort of corrective cream. On first impressions I think I'm really going to like this, however I do want to try it under makeup as a primer. It made my skin look smoother, more perfected and reduced shine. I've never tried a primer that's felt so nice and creamy on the skin; there's no slip at all and it doesn't ball up! I think if this works well for me as a primer and extends the wear-time of my makeup I may have to splurge in the full size...

This is a product I'm going to need to test for longer before returning with my verdict. On first impressions it's very hydrating and definitely leaves my eyes looking less puffy. Time will tell if it's any match for my dark circles...

Ecological Compound*

I'm not sure if I'd consider this a moisturiser, it's more like a lotion to apply before your moisturiser. It feels lovely on the skin and I actually felt it helped my face cream work at its best. It claims to improve the overall quality of your skin, protecting it from harmful environmental factors so I'm looking forward to seeing if it delivers.

Black Rose Precious Face Oil*

I know I'm only in my early twenties but I do have some very fine lines that bother me slightly so I was looking forward to trying a product that I'm not quite at the stage of life I'd want to invest in it. I've used this a couple of times so far and it's not only given my skin a real radiance but it genuinely did reduce the appearance of these little lines. I guess it is easier for a product to work when you don't yet have deep-set wrinkles, but I was pretty impressed. I don't think I'd invest in something like this just yet but it could also work preventatively.

Phyto Teint Expert Foundation*

The gift contains this foundation in Shade 2, which is a shame as I feel if a base product is included you should be able to choose the shade, otherwise it would be better to have a different product over one only very few will be able to use. I wasn't able to test this fully but it seems a natural, blend-able 'skin foundation' which isn't dewy or matte but offers enough coverage to even out your skin tone.

Eau du Soir Moisturising Body Cream*

This body cream incorporates a toned-down element of the Eau du Soir fragrance. It's super-hydrating so you don't need much at all to feel the benefits. It has such a nice, light texture it sinks right in and offers genuine nourishment without any excess oiliness.

Sisley So Intense Mascara*

Although in general, I don't spend when it comes to mascara, I actually really like this one! It has a rubberised wand that has a proper brush unlike anything I've tried before. It adds major length and definition but also makes my lashes look super-black. It also adds a nice amount of volume.

Have you tried any Sisley products?

  2. The cleanser sounds excellent :) I'm liking the sound of the fragrance too - I'm totally into masculine scents (and more often than not wear men's/unisex fragrances!) so I imagine it could be right up my street.
