I have another one of my favourite bloggers on to do a guest post today! Now Autumn is well and trull underway, Heather from Of Beauty and Nothingness is sharing her favourite Lush products. I hope you enjoy, and you can follow Heather using the links at the bottom of the post.
Lush is one of my favourite places for indulgent bath and body products and their skincare is pretty good too - I always have a massive Lush wish list! I also love their new exclusives, I received some for my birthday back in August and they are gorgeous. As much as I love to try new Lush products, there are some old favourites that I always go back to!

Lush Dorothy Bubble Bar | £4.75
I have wanted this bubble bar for so long but I always forget to pick it up and I'm so glad I did a few months ago as it is a gorgeous bubble bar. Not only does the bubble bar look and smell amazing but it also produces so many bubbles (as the name would suggest) so you only need as a small amount each time which is great as a lot of Lush products are a little pricey, in my opinion. It doesn't do anything massively exciting like some of their products but if you want a bubbly bath that smells amazing then this bubble bar is for you.
Lush Big Blue Bath Bomb | £3.35
The Big Blue bath bomb is one that I have re-purchased a few times and it is one that I would definitely recommend. I love being by the sea and I need to more often but in the meantime this seaweed filled, bright blue bath bomb will have to do. The smell to me is like a Lush store mixed with the sea (a good sea smell not a disgusting fishy sea smell, no one wants that!). It is one of the more messy bath bombs due to the seaweed pieces but it is worth the clean up afterwards. You could potentially wrap it in muslin and tie it with a hair tie, which would contain the seaweed but I don't know if it would inhibit the bath bomb fizzing.
Lush Shampoo Bars | £5.75 (55g) each
I've tried a few of the Lush shampoo bars over the past few years and I've been so impressed with all of them especially the New, Seanik and Lullaby bars - they are perfect for travelling and they last for a surprisingly long time despite the size. I definitely want to try the Jumping Juniper, Honey I Washed My Hair and the Jason and the Argan Oil shampoo bars.
Lush Angels On Bare Skin Cleanser | £6.75 (100g)
I have dry and sensitive skin so I always try to use more natural and gentle skincare as that is what my skin prefers. I've gone through a few tubs of the Angels On Bare Skin Cleanser as it not only smells heavenly but it cleanses and gently exfoliates my skin well without stripping it or drying it out. However I do find that the cleanser expires before I can use up every bit of it.
Overall, I love a good Lush spree and I'm so excited to try their new exclusives which are thankfully available in Lush stores and online now as I don't know when I will be able to go to the Lush mothership on Oxford Street, London. As much as I want to try the newer products (I can't wait for their halloween and christmas collections this year), I will always re-purchase my favourites time and time again.

Aw I love Heather's blog and all things Lush! I'm yet to actually try any of these but my current favourite bath bomb is Golden Slmbers which is sadly an Oxford Street exclusive but they stock it online now woo. Really want to try out the Dorothy Bubble Bar and Big Blue Bath Bomb :) x

I really want to pick up some of the Oxford Street exclusives next time I'm down there but Lush products aren't the most travel-friendly haha xx
DeleteI don't have a bath so I always feel like I'm missing out on Lush products! I do love their face masks though, and I really want to try the Angels on Bare Skin cleanser :)

It sounds amazing! xx
DeleteYou should try dream or karma cream <3
ReplyDeleteBig Blue is one of my absolute favourites too! Makes the bath so dreamy, I feel like I am in the ocean, I have never tried the other two before but that rainbow one looks so cute I will be picking it up next time!

I haven't tried any shampoo bars from Lush, I prefer liquid products for my hair :) Big blue bath bomb sounds so good, I like how she explained it... Lush store mixed with the sea!!! xx

I love the Jason and the Argon Oil Shampoo Bar, I can't recommend trying it enough! I wish I had tried Dorothy Bubble Bar now, I also got a little net bag from Muji to put Big Blue in, it still fizzes and carries all the seaweed!

I've never tried a shampoo bar but the name has me sold on this one haha xx
DeleteI haven't had a lush bath in yonks but seeing how cute their bath bombs look it makes me want to go into one of their stores and have a good splurge!

What a great post! I need to go out and buy some of these lovely products now :D
ReplyDeleteI love Lush items! My husband particularly likes the massage bars - which always amuses me because he refuses point blank to go into the shop!
ReplyDeleteI love the Honey I Washed My Hair Shampoo Bar, you should definitely try that one out Heather. I'm also a bit fan of Angels on Bare Skin. The only thing that annoys me is the expiry date, I know I won't be able to use my whole tub before it expires as it's not the only cleanser I've got on the go. It is a lovely product though.

That's the main reason I don't shop at Lush as much as I'd like but I do want to give this a go :) xx
DeleteI've always meant to try the Dorothy bubble bar, it looks so cute!
ReplyDeleteSara - She Who Is Short
This was a really useful post, I've noted down some things that I can't wait to check out in store next time! Gotta love a bit of lush ^_^
