New from Nip + Fab | Kale Fix Review*

Nip + Fab is one of those more affordable brands that always seems to be ahead of the curve with the latest skincare innovations (perhaps due to its sister brand being Rodial?) So, I was really excited to receive the new Kale Fix range to try out as it’s definitely unlike anything else I’ve come across in Boots or Superdrug before.

Clay Mask* | £13

This mask has such a nice formula as it isn't so thick it's impossible to get on and instead of going hard on the skin it sort of sinks into it. You really don't need a huge amount; I just spread a thin layer across my skin and leave for 5-10 minutes before rinsing. It's honestly so nourishing and hydrating without feeling heavy on the skin or leaving any excess. When my skin is tired or dehydrated and I need a quick fix, this is the one I reach for as it leaves my skin feeling cleansed but soft and healthy.

Ingredients Include: Witch Hazel, Cocoa Seed Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Cucumber Fruit Extract, Brassica Oleracea Acephala Leaf Extract

For those of you reluctant to let your face wipes go or just people who are busy or travel a lot; these are the answer! They’re so much better for your skin than face wipes but perform a similar function far more effectively. I use around about 3 pads to completely remove my makeup then follow these up with a skin cleanser. Or you can use it in place of a micellar water following a hot cloth or oil cleanser to ensure every scrap of makeup is gone.  They’re really gentle, even on the eyes, and work so much better than I’d expected. I was really impressed at how clean and soft my skin felt afterwards. They seemed to nourish it as opposed to stripping it.

Ingredients Include: Cucumber Fruit Extract, Brassica Oleracea Acephala Leaf Extract, Citric Acid

Moisturiser* | £20

I’ve saved the best until last! This is billed as a moisturiser for either day or night. For my combination, dehydrated skin I prefer it as a night cream but for drier skin types this would be amazing for the daytime too (maybe for me too during the Winter months). It has a similar consistency to the Clinique Dramatically Different lotion and although it’s really nourishing, I find this sinks into the skin really nicely. I can’t rave enough about the results I’ve had using this; there’s a noticeable difference when I wake up in the morning, which I’ve never had from a moisturiser before. My skin looks glowing, plumper, healthier and more hydrated; basically better in every single way! I’ve always considered moisturiser a bit of a throwaway product that adds a bit of hydration but isn’t going to change your life. However this is a game-changer.

Ingredients Include: Shea Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Cucumber Fruit Extract, Brassica Oleracea Acephala Leaf Extract

When I looked up the prices prior to testing out the products I thought Nip + Fab had made a mistake and that these were too expensive but actually, these are by far the best quality products I’ve tried from this brand. The moisturiser in particular is just incredible and I would definitely consider these to be more premium-quality products than you may expect. I really like the slight Kale scent of these products and the Kale Fix range is amazing if you suffer from dry or dehydrated skin.

Have you tried Nip + Fab's facial skincare?

  1. I really like the sound of their clay mask. I have their Dragon Blood Plumping Fix Mask and love it. I had no idea their sister company was Rodial.

  5. I really like the sound of the clay mask. My skin is so dry at the minute, I blame the air-con at work! I love anything with Witch Hazel in it so am hoping this would help! x

  12. This range sounds lovely! I agree the prices are a bit more than I was expecting but I suppose Boots always has offers on on so it wouldn't work out too expensive if you got it on offer!

  14. I really like the sound of the moistuiser as the Clinique offering wasn't to my taste, so this one sounds more appealing! It might also stop me layering up so many creams :)
