It's no secret that dusky pink, rosy, mauve and dark nude lips are pretty much my most favourite thing ever. Personally, I'm not quite ready for the deep berry lips just yet, I usually save those for December and party season so Autumn is the perfect excuse for me to wear these muted tones all the time! So, I thought I'd share my favourites with you!
For me personally, this is a better dark brown matte nude shade than the much-talked-about Velvet Teddy. The formula is so creamy (this seems to vary between shades a lot in MAC's line) but still long-lasting. I love the warm caramel-brown nude colour, though I'm not sure what that name's all about!
Long-time readers will be pleased to know I have now purchased a new one of these as this one was definitely a little too well-loved. This is essentially a hydrating sheer lip colour pretty much slap bang in-between a tinted lip balm and a lipstick. Pink Truffle is the perfect deep pink 'my lips but better' that goes with just about any makeup look.

This is my favourite matte dusky pink shade. Like Taupe, it is definitely one of MAC’s creamiest mattes. I love wearing this for evenings out as it’s just that bit more than a nude.
This is the perfect partner to Mehr. It’s very similar in colour, though it’s perhaps a tiny bit deeper. The formula isn’t drying in the slightest and it pairs beautifully with any deep pink or mauve lipstick.
This is quite a new addition and definitely the brightest of the bunch here. It’s a sort of deep-but-bright pink colour and the formula lives up to the slightly contradictory name. It has almost a balmy texture but a matte finish.
I’ve been guilty of neglecting this in favour of my Holy Grail MAC Twig, which is really similar, however lately I’ve been giving Anna the love it deserves. This is a lovely mauve shade with a semi-matte finish. The creaminess and pigmentation is incredible. Though it isn’t as long-lasting as a true matte, I do find it more comfortable on the lips.
I seriously need more of these beautiful rose gold-packaged lipsticks as the formula is amazing and the shade selection is right up my street. It’s a sort of sheeny-but-ultra-pigmented formula and the shade is another perfect deep mauve.
This is pretty much my perfect sheer ‘my lips but better’ shade. It’s a little bit of a brown nude but also rosy. The formula is really hydrating, making it perfect for this time of year.
Charlotte Tilbury has pretty much mastered the matte lipstick. The Matte Revolution formula comes in a range of shades for every occasion and it’s so creamy and not dry or unflattering in the slightest. It glides right on without clinging to any dry patches but also has amazing staying power. The shade Bond Girl is the perfect blend of rose and mauve. I don’t know if it’s the name or the packaging but something about wearing this makes me feel amazing!
