Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom & Honey Cologne

A lovely gift I got for my birthday was my first ever Jo Malone Fragrance Nectarine Blossom & Honey (£42, 30ml). Even the name just sounds like Spring/Summer!

It came packaged in a lovely gift box and this is the smaller size, 30ml, which makes the price tag a little steep. I do wish these fragrances came in 50ml bottles as that would be perfect however this is handy for travelling and the price difference between this and the 100ml bottle was considerable enough for this to be decent value. The bottle is simple, elegant and stylish and wouldn't look out of place on any beauty addict's dressing table.

Onto the fragrance itself. I really love this scent as it's both floral and fruity at the same time. I sometimes find floral fragrances a bit sharp and headache-inducing, however the floral notes here are much more refined. The fruitiness of the nectarine and sweetness of the honey also balance out the floral of the blossom and makes this such a pretty summer scent. I would say the fruitiness/sweetness comes through slightly more than the floral, which is also fine by me!

This is a cologne, so it's certainly a splash of fragrance as opposed to a heavier perfume. It's noticeable by the end of the day but it has definitely faded somewhat. I think a cologne works really nicely for summer as it's nothing to overwhelming; it keeps things fresh and light.

All in all I really love this fragrance and would certainly consider getting the full sized one next summer (maybe that's one for the birthday list too...) I'm very pleased with my first foray into Jo Malone and I'm already eyeing up Peony & Blush Suede, as well as Nutmeg & Ginger...

Have you tried any Jo Malone Fragrances? Which are your favourites and which are on your wish list?

  1. I agree that they should come in 50ml instead of 30ml for the price tag given... my favourites are the Peony & Blush Suede and Wood Sage & Sea Salt xxx

  8. This sounds lovely, I'm really into the idea of Jo Malone fragrances but have never bought one. I do absolutely love their Oud & Bergamot candle though - it's quite a masculine scent and I cannot get enough of it! x

  9. I still haven't ventured into the world of Jo Malone and for a perfume addict like me that's strange. I have been in the store though and tested out some of their scents but i just get so confused and don't know where to start. Floral and fruity sounds great x

    1. I actually felt the same when I first went to their counter! I think the trick is not to try more than 3 or 4 scents in one go or it's too confusing xx

  18. This is one of my favourite Jo Malone scents and has been on my wishlist for a while... I love its softness. With you on the size though - I do like that the 30ml is travel/handbag friendly but seem to go through it so fast!

  19. I was at a car boot sale last weekend and someone was selling this exact fragrance, and it smelled exquisite. I didn't buy it though since I would rather just purchase it new.
Although the price for just a cologne isn't really impressive :/ At least it isn't an eau de toilette.
