It's that time of the month again! Well, not that one...the other one; the monthly favourites time! As if we're a month into 2015 already. I got a lot of lovely things for Christmas and to be honest I still don't feel like I've properly tested everything out yet. So here's January's beauty-focussed favourites.
I have a few brushes in there to talk about. I totally love the Real Techniques Blush Brush (£9.99), which you can get cheaper by ordering from their US site or using discount codes on Look Fantastic and Feel Unique. It doesn't look like it would be the right size for blusher but it applies it probably better than any other brush I own. You can just use circular motions starting from right up near your hairline and moving inwards. Also I have to mention the Zoeva Rose Gold Luxury Set (£55). It sounds steep (especially with the postage!) but you get 8 incredible quality, completely beautiful brushes. I especially love the eye brushes (maybe I should've got the eye version!) and definitely want more from Zoeva. Keep an eye out for the post coming soon.

In terms of skincare there are two products I have to mention. I love the Body Shop's skincare right now, I could've easily written an entire favourites with their products. However if I had to pick one that's been my absolute favourite this month that I've just repurchased it's the Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil (£10). It completely melts your makeup away; it's just so quick and easy to remove everything with this. Another one has been the La Roche-Posay Serozinc (£8.50). It's a spray so I just spritz it over my face after I've removed my makeup and it gets rid of any excess oil and really reduces any redness and soreness from blemishes. You can read all about my skincare routine here.
Two palettes have rarely left my dressing table. The first is the Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot Set (£29.99, sold out). I haven't fully tested out every single shade but I absolutely love the rose gold shade (which is very subtly shimmery) Rockateur in particular. You can read my post on it and see a swatch here. I also totally love the Makeup Revolution Naked Chocolate Palette (£8.99). I love a good neutral palette and this is one I can look at and say I use every single shade. I just love the variety of taupes, golds and browns in Naked Chocolate. Check out a review and swatches here.
In the general eye area I have a few favourites. I absolutely love the Maybelline Eye Eraser Concealer (£8.99) underneath my eyes. I've finally found an affordable concealer that does the job! I also love how light it is. I still use my Nars concealer all the time, but that's more of a foundation one whereas this is good for if you're wearing a bb/cc cream or tinted moisturiser. I'm also loving the Collection Extreme 24-Hour Felt Tip Liner in Black (£2.99), which I featured in my budget beauty post. This is probably my favourite eyeliner, affordable or otherwise. It's not scratchy, it doesn't dry out or end up greyish plus it's the perfect shape and size to do your wing.
I'm also rather enamoured with the Maybeline Lash Sensational Mascara (£5.99). I can never be bothered curling my lashes and with this I can get an amazing curl as well as volume and length. You can see how it looks on and a comparison with Benefit's Roller Lash on my blog very soon! As regular readers will know, I'm a little addicted to cream eyeshadow and I got a stunning one for Christmas. The Illamasqua Vintage Metallix in Embellish (£16.50) is a deep, luxurious brown shimmer and the texture makes it a dream to apply. It's not as solid as a Maybelline Colour Tattoos but it's not as soft and mousse-like as the Max Factor Excess Shimmers. It's one you can pull off for both day and night.
I really want the Makeup Rev Chocolate palette but its out of stock :( I also recently got the Maybelline Concealer and im really impressed by it. lovely choices as always! x
