Review: e.l.f. Studio Cream Blushes

I only recently got round to using the e.l.f. cream blusher in a haul I got ages ago. I liked it so much that I ordered a second recently and this review is going to be of them both: Tease and Vixen (which can be bought here for just £6.50 each).

The packaging is nothing hugely exciting, as you'd expect for something low-cost, however it's simple and sleek enough not to look cheap.

I was really impressed with the formula; it's a true cream-to-powder so if you're like me and suffer from a majorly shiny face it's perfect. I dotted it on with my e.l.f. Studio Small Stipple Brush (£3.95) and in this way it can be applied subtly or built up for a nighttime look. I love how nicely they apply; you get a really even finish.

As you can see in these swatches they're also nicely pigmented:

Tease is a really nice peachy tone and Vixen is a plum shade. The quality is consistent across both of them and I like both colours equally, it really just depends on what you like. The finish with both these shades is so natural.

I'd say they last a good 6 hours; by the end of the day it has faded a little on me.

                                Tease                                                 Vixen

I'm really pleased with these, as I wasn't expecting to like them this much! I'll definitely be picking a few more up when I can! I really hope e.l.f. bring these out in a few more shades, as the existing ones are all very bright pink tones.

I'd say if you like the idea of Benefit's Majorette but you don't like the one colour it currently comes in or you don't want to fork out £23.50 for a blusher then these are for you!

Do you prefer powder or cream blushers? :)

  2. The pigmentation is really good! I haven't tried any of ELFs blushes before but all the products of theirs that I've tried before have been really good. I definitely prefer cream blushes to powder blushes, I almost never wear powders now! I need to find a good cream bronzer and then I'm set x

    1. I'm usually quite scared of them as I have a shiny face but these work so well. I've heard good things about the e.l.f. cream bronze/blush duo x
