When I was a teenager I almost never wore black but now, as I've moved into my 20s, I have a real appreciation for the simple sophistication of a black dress in a flattering cut.
You may have heard of the website LBD for stocking various brands such as Chi Chi London and Forever Unique. Now they've launched their Own Brand Collection of Little Black Dresses containing 18 pieces inspired by fashion icons of the past and present. And it's just in time for party season!
You'd think there would be a limit to just how different black dresses can be to one another, but I assure you there is something in this collection for everyone! And the dresses are inspired by a diverse range of celebrities: from Marilyn Monroe to Taylor Swift.
Myself and the other bloggers arrived early and got to have a good look at the dresses before the party kicked off and they were also sorted into 5 themes: Unique, Classic, Glamorous, Feminine and Sexy. There really was something for everyone and choosing the perfect one for you is made a lot simpler! The team over at LBD and Fluorescent PR really did throw an amazing party at Spinningfields' Manchester House Bar & Restaurant, which has incredible views over the city. It was such a fantastic night meeting some lovely bloggers and I really got a feel for the collection.
We also got a little goodie bag at the end; the canvas bag itself is a Little Black Bag*, which is super-cute and these are always handy to have. There was also Burt's Bees Lipgloss in 251 Evening Glow* and a sample of the Balance Me Extra Care Wonder Eye Cream*, which I'm very excited to try out!
I can't wait to purchase a dress from the collection and I'd appreciate your input! I've whittled it down to my five favourites, but which one do you think I should get? Let me know in the comments! I'd also love to hear your thoughts on the collection :)
