Today I've picked out some of my favourite lightweight, hydrating, dewy-look sunscreens and moisturisers for the summer to share with you...

During the summer, I feel like we all want fewer steps in our skincare routine so the moisturisers in this post have the ability to potentially remove a serum step from your lineup. First up is the Sunday Riley C.E.O. Afterglow Brightening Vitamin C Cream* | £60. This is formulated with Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, which is a Vitamin C derivative that can provide antioxidant benefits, protecting the skin from free radical damage, evening out the skin tone and of course giving that immediate glow boost. It's somehow both lightweight but substantial at the same time, allowing my skin to breathe without dissipating into nothing, as well as leaving my skin looking healthy and radiant. Safflower seed oil moisturises, glycerin hydrates and allantoin soothes the skin.

I also love the Glow Recipe Plum Plump Hyaluronic Cream* | £35. Obviously this contains hyaluronic acid in several forms (bolstered by glycerin, snow mushroom and polyglutamic acid) to pull water into the skin, so foregos the need to use a dedicated serum. However, it's also formulated with multi-tasking niacinamide (to boost up the skin barrier, help even out the skin tone and reduce excess oil production in the skin), antioxidant turmeric and moisturising plant oils to really lock in that hydration. This melting gel-cream really does plump my skin, giving it a healthy bounce, hydration that lasts and an overall glow.

My final moisturiser favourite is the Ole Henriksen Strength Trainer Peptide Boost Moisturiser* | £40. Peptides are short-chain amino acids that can offer a range of benefits, plumping and hydrating the skin as well as potentially boosting up collagen production. This also contains glycerin and hyaluronic acid, ceramides and cholesterol (fundamental components of the skin barrier), niacinamide, antioxidant Vitamin E and mango butter, which gives it a bit of body. I love the texture of this product; it has this substance to it that my dry skin wants and it's packed full of good stuff but it melts down so effortlessly and never smothers my skin. It's potentially a night cream for oily skin, but for me it's a day cream that gives my skin what it needs without overwhelming it during the warmer months.

In terms of sunscreens, these are really for everyday use rather than for when you're exercising or going to the beach. They deliver the kind of protection you need for the summer months whilst being easy to wear and dreamy under makeup! The first product I love is the Ultra Violette Supreme Screen Hydrating Facial Skincreen SPF 50+ | £34. This is a light lotion that offers an Aussie-approved broad spectrum SPF 50+, it's slightly peachy-toned (meaning you also get visible light protection) and leaves my skin soft and glowing after use (with added extras like antioxidant-rich kakadu plum), making it the perfect base for makeup during the summer. And of course it never pills and works well with both my makeup and my other skincare.

Also fantastic is the Thank You Farmer Sun Project Water Cream SPF 50+* | £18 (get 15% off with code JASMINETALKSBEAUTY (affiliate)). This is amazing for dry skin like mine, as it's water-based and melting but leaves my skin fresh and dewy. Of course it melts in without a cast and feels wonderfully-hydrating. At the same time you're getting SPF 50+ and PA+++. You don't need to use a moisturiser with this and it's so easy to incorporate into you 'every single day' routine, under makeup or on its own.

Last but definitely not least is Hello Sunday's the One That's a Serum SPF 45 Drops* | £20. These super-fluid lightweight serum drops contain a broad spectrum SPF 45 with visible light protection and is glow-y without being greasy. It operates like a perfect moisturising and skin-softening primer for makeup whilst protecting your skin at the same time. I personally love that, because when sunscreens are easy to apply and wear, you're actually going to use them. This is also light enough that if you want to, you can actually use a beauty sponge to carefully apply this over the top of your makeup too throughout the day.

What are your favourite moisturisers and sunscreens for glowing skin and a lightweight feel?
