I feel like body care really blew up over the past year or so and I'm here for it, I love all of that! Here are my top picks of the moment...

Let's start with washes; I have really dry skin so finding formulas that will remove any sweat and grime without leaving it parched and itchy is a must. The two I've found in recent months are the Dermalogica Conditioning Hand + Body Wash* | £29 | and the more affordable Nursem Caring Body Wash* | £15. I know it's not all about scent but what can I say? I love a sensory experience when I'm having a shower and the Deramalogica has an aromatic blend of eucalyptus, rosemary, sandalwood and lavender. I'm not being funny but I didn't even pay for this, I have drawers full of body care products and I still wouldn't waste this as a hand wash! It's a lovely, low-foam formula with moisturising oils and Sodium PCA to ensure a gentle cleanse for dry skin. More recently I've been using the Nursem formula which comes out like a cream but does foam lightly in a non-stripping way with water. Bisabolol and aloe soothe the skin, soybean and grape seed oils moisturise and soften and glycerin can help with hydration levels. This one also has a slightly-citric but also woody scent to it. It's super gentle, it doesn't cause my KP (keratosis pilaris) or dryness to flare up but I can still trust it to work, even if I've been out exercising. Plus every bottle sold means a frontline healthcare worker gets a month's supply of hand care!

In terms of exfoliation, lately I've switched it up and have been reaching for the Verso Body Peel* | £55. It's pricey but it's the one that's been working well for me, so sorry about that! For me, exfoliating my arms and legs is essential because I have KP - those red, dry bumps caused by keratin build-up in the hair follicle. This is formulated with a physical micro-exfoliant for that gentle manual action but also glycolic acid, willow bark extract (kind of like a salicylic acid precursor) and polyhydroxy acids to offer chemical exfoliation to soften and smooth the skin. This leaves my limbs lovely and smooth, which is exactly what I need now they're seeing the light of day again!

In terms of body creams, we have an old favourite and a new discovery. The oldie that I just couldn't resist mentioning is the Malin + Goetz Vitamin B5 Moisturiser* | £33. I've loved this since about the start of this year and it's really because it's formulated with the sorts of ingredients that I love for my face, so why on earth wouldn't I give my body the same?! Vitamin B5 and Sodium PCA are great for aiding water retention in the skin, honey and oat nourish and soothe the skin and shea butter is like a great big hug for it. This is easy to spread and fast-absorbing with a lightweight texture that still works wonders for my dry skin. Lately I've been reaching for the Nursem Caring Body Cream* | £17.50. Like with the wash, we have bisabolol, Sodium PCA and glycerin, hyaluronic acid is also great for drawing water into the skin, squalane kind of imitates the oils your skin creates itself so it really replenishes dry skin and we have moisturising plant oils to really soften the skin. Both products are lightly and pleasantly scented but not overwhelming and they don't irritate my skin.
