I feel like this is a really old-school post idea but I'm relying more and more on my trusted makeup products these days, so I thought I'd share my updated quick, easy everyday picks.

Of course, I start with base makeup and my favourite for a while has been the Kosas Tinted Face Oil* (Shade 6) | £40 | full review. Despite being a face oil, I don't find this overly greasy and it lasts really nicely on my skin, though I probably wouldn't recommend it if you're more on the oily / spot-prone side of the skin spectrum. It provides a radiant, dewy, natural finish that's just enough coverage to perfect my skin without feeling as though it's being covered up. If I need to spot conceal, I'll use the potted one from Nars, but usually my focus is covering up dark circles! For this, I use the Milk Makeup Flex Concealer (Medium) | £23.75 | full review. It gives a natural, long-wearing, crease-proof medium coverage that's perfect for everyday wear and I find the slight peachy tone helps correct dark circles. I finish off by setting my t-zone and under my eyes with a compact powder I can throw in my bag and apply on the go. The MAC Mineralise Skinfinish Natural (Medium Dark) | £26.50 | is perfect; this baked powder has a very slight luminescence to it that's nothing too shimmery. It isn't heavy or caky but sets my makeup and mattes down any shine.

Let's talk colour! I recently got the Nudestix Nudies Matte Blush & Bronze Stick in Sunkissed | £28 | and it really suits my makeup style. This is a cream blusher / bronzer stick that's a gorgeous rosy-tan colour. I tend to warm it up by swirling my finger over the surface of the product then dabbing it on. It adds a nice bit of colour and warmth to my cheeks and is really long-wearing. I also really enjoy the Nudestix Magnetic Eye Colour Pencil in Copper Foil | £20. This dewy-look warm gold shimmer is perfect all over the lids and lasts me all day. To pull it together, I love the Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment in Spice | £19.50. This nourishing, glossy tinted lip balm has a warm brown nude colour to it.

To define the eyes, I always go back to the Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in Intense Smoky Quartz | £16. It's a warm, deep brown so looks very natural. I just use it in the water line and it doesn't transfer. For brows; my favourite quick fix is the Milk Makeup Kush Fibre Brow Gel (Grind) | £15. It adds volume without being thick or clumpy and gently holds my brows in place. It adds a soft tint of colour too; this is a very natural darkest brown colour. Then, finally, I love the Glossier Lash Slick Mascara | £14 | full review. It's a fibre mascara so has an amazing lengthening effect and lasts without smudging, smearing or flaking, making it a great one for long work days.
