Today I have the beautiful new Spring collection from Zoeva here to review for you! This range is butterfly-themed, so unsurprisingly we have lots of iridescent shimmers and duo-chrome shades. The packaging is so pretty but everything is still well-priced. Let's jump into my thoughts on the products...

- MIRROR -

This one is pretty self-explanatory, so I'll keep it brief! The Melody Makeup Mirror* | £13 | is this gorgeous caramel-beige colour with an iridescent, watercolour butterfly effect. It's nice and big, it's high-quality and there's not much more I can say about a mirror but I feel pretty glamorous when using it.

- LIP GLOSS -

If you've been round here a while, you'll know I'm not a lipgloss person but for whatever reason, I decided to give the Melody Lip Glosses* | £11 each | a go. These are Zoeva's first ever lip glosses and - given I don't usually go for gloss - I don't have much to compare them to! Fly Away is pretty much a clear shade with an iridescent purple sheen running through it, Spread Your Wings has a gold shimmer, Radiant Flight is a light pink with a silvery sheen, Become a Butterfly is a coral shade with a gold shift and Join the Dance is primarily a warm pinky-nude colour but does still have a bit of a shimmer to it.

Unsurprisingly I started with the least scary option - Join the Dance, which I use on top of MAC's Satin Lipstick in Mocha (review and swatch). I really liked how this looked when I tried it for the first time and decided to give the others a go. The sheen is definitely there in these shades that have less of a base colour but it honestly doesn't look like anything too crazy with an opaque lipstick underneath and just add a fullness and dimension to my lips. Radiant Flight is the only shade I don't use because it's too pastel-pink to work with my makeup looks. The coral Radiant Flight works well with ColourPop's Matte Lippie Stix in RAYEzor (discontinued) (review and swatch). I wear Fly Away over MAC's Matte Lipstick in Mehr (review and swatch) and Spread Your Wings over Huda Beauty's Liquid Matte in Girlfriend (review and swatch).

Obviously these don't last as long as a traditional lipstick and my hair does get stuck to my lips in the wind|! However I really like these glosses and will continue to use them - especially Join the Dance. I think these shades (particularly the very iridescent ones) are perfect for the theme of this collection too. My eyes have definitely been opened up to a new product category...!

- EYESHADOW PALETTE -

Next we have the Melody Eyeshadow Palette* | £21 | and I have to start the palette review by saying I'm incredibly disappointed at the price increase the Zoeva palettes have recently seen - about 5 years ago when I bought my first one they were £15. Whilst I expect a bit of an increase - this works out at a £1+ hike every year! That out of the way; let's have a look inside. If you aren't familiar with these palettes - they come in slimline cardboard packaging which is decorated in line with the collection's theme and each shade has a name that fits in with it too. Overall; the formula is really great - the mattes have a smooth formula that's pigmented but just so easy to work with. There are softer shimmers and more foil-finish shades but they both have really great opacity. The longevity is good too - not what I'd reach for if I knew I was going to have a crazy-long day but they work for me as part of my usual routine.

Gowns Swirling is like your usual white matte shade with a twist - it has a very fine, subtle blue-purple sheen running through it. Airy Dalliance is a peach shimmer with a bit of an iridescence to it. Gentle clasp is a pink-to-purple shimmer. Cocoon of Delight is a mid-toned golden bronze shimmer. Fly Solo is a sort of purple-grey-brown deeper matte.

From Heaven is a pearly shimmer with a pink sheen. Whirled Above is pretty much my perfect crease shade - it's a mid-toned matte that's slap-bang in between a warm caramel brown and a deep peach. Crystal Wings is my favourite shade in the palette - a foil-effect bronze-gold with a green duochrome shift. Soul Unheard is a foiled, very warm gold. About to Leave is a neutral-toned plummy deep matte.

You can also buy the entire collection here as a bundle for £68.
