WHAT I GOT FOR CHRISTMAS 2018

Today I'm giving a bit of a whistlestop tour of what I got for Christmas this year! There actually aren't loads of beauty products in here (for once!) but if there's anything you'd like to see my review of - please let me know in the comments.

The first thing I got were tickets to see Matilda on the West End! I've heard amazing things about this show and it's one of my favourite childhood books and films, so I can't wait - and I won't have to for long because we're going in just over a week! We will probably make a couple of days of it down in London which will be nice too.

I also got a few bits of jewellery this year, because let's face it; I have enough beauty products to last me for years to come! First I got this pair of Rock n Rose Esther Cross Hoop Earrings, which are just a gorgeous statement when I don't really want to wear any other jewellery. I love this sort of baroque / romantic style. I also got a layering necklace from Rock n Rose: the Honor Miraculous Medal Pendant Necklace in Gold. This is a really nice shorter pendant necklace that looks gorgeous with one of my main presents - the Missoma Lucy Williams Large Horn Necklace. I've wanted this forever so was really grateful to get it this year and the two necklaces look so pretty together!

I also got some more lifestyle-related bits. The first is this Clothbound Classics Edition of Tess of the D'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy, which is one of my all-time favourite books. I have a bit of an ambition to collection beautiful editions of all of the classic books that mean a lot to me, so maybe this can be the start! I also have this really lovely cat-themed notebook from my aunt - I'm not sure where it's from but I don't think you'd have to look too hard to find something like it. I'm absolutely a cat person so I love this!

I also go a few candles; I guess it's one of a small handful of product categories that I actually get through pretty fast... The first is a Small Maple Butter Village Candle which is an old favourite of mine. It just fills the room with the smell of freshly-baked pancakes - yum! I also received a new jar of one of my all-time favourites - Diptyque Noisetier. This candle isn't cheap but I really haven't found a scent quite like it anywhere else and it's so heavily-fragranced that you don't even need to burn it to get the effect! It has this gorgeous sweet-nutty scent that I can't get enough of. I also got a set of Next Salted Caramel and Hazelnut Latte Mug Candles which smell so yummy and the mugs are really cute so will definitely have a second life once I've used up the candles.

My mum also gifted me some bath and body bits from Rituals. I have the Bath Bomb Flower and Foaming Shower Gel both from the Ritual of Holi range. The scent is a gorgeous mix of pink grapefruit, peach blossom and white lily, making it fruity and floral at the same time.

Obviously there's also a little bit of makeup and skincare in the mix! Though not as much as in previous years... The first product is the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Spice - I absolutely love these nourishing lip balms with a wash of colour. This is a really nice warm reddish-brown tone to add to my collection. I'm also really happy with my By Terry Baume de Rose in Toffee Cream, as I love using all-in-one lip care and colour at this time of year. Finally I got the Zoeva Unique Reflection Eyeshadow Palette. I'm a huge fan of the Zoeva formula; for the price-point it really can't be beaten, in my opinion! This is a selection of peachy and plummy tones that are wearable but still a little different for me. I am a huge fan of this already, so will be posting a review soon.

I also got a fair amount of alcohol, including a Bailey's set, some prosecco and a nice bottle of merlot!

Did you get anything exciting for Christmas this year?
