The Copper & Rose Gold Eye Edit

It is of course Valentine's Day, so what better time to share my favourite copper and rose gold eyeshadow tones?

Powder

Lorac Unzipped Eyeshadow Palette | $42 | review & UK shipping | This palette is coppery-rose gold dreams! I absolutely love the quality of every single shade in here. Super-metallic, opaque shimmers? Check! Creamy and pigmented mattes? Yep! I find them effortless to apply and nicely long-wearing too. This palette is perfect for creating a romantic eye look (you have lid shades, crease colours, highlights and some darker, smokier tones, so there's a really good balance of colours) and Unbelievable in particular is the perfect warm rose gold all-over-lid shade.

Zoeva Caramel Melange Eyeshadow Palette | £18 | review | This palette is perfect in so many ways but Liquid Centre has to be my favourite shade! This has a very coppery undertone but isn't too orange-based. It has this amazing pigmentation and such a smooth texture; it's almost like liquid metal! The palette overall is stunning for a more warm-toned take on this look, especially great if you have a darker skin tone and don't suit typical pink tones.

Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadow Pan in Grandstand | £9.25 | This was kind of the original coppery rose gold eyeshadow for me and I'm actually surprised I haven't hit pan on it yet! The formula is so buttery and intensely pigmented and looks stunningly dewy once applied.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyeshadow Single in Glisten | £10 | This is a bit more of a muted, everyday alternative to something like Grandstand. The sheen is a bit more subtle and it has a warmer, almost more neutral tone to it. I seriously rate this eyeshadow formula - it's just so smooth and has great colour payoff; this is one of those shades you can take on a fluffy brush and apply right across the lid.

MAC Pro Refill Eyeshadow Pan in All That Glitters | £10 | This must be one of my most-used eyeshadows of all-time! Though it appears cooler-toned than the other options we've covered off so far, this nude shade still has a slightly golden-peachy sheen. The texture is really unusual - it doesn't have a buttery formula, instead it has a solid consistency but does have good pigmentation and is really long-wearing.

Morphe Pressed Pigment in Rodeo Drive | £6 | This is a lovely warm copper colour but I have to say the formula is disappointing! Mine actually shattered and I do find it a bit powdery/glittery and not long-wearing enough. I still included it in this post to show how similar it is to Liquid Centre from the Zoeva palette, which I recommend checking out instead!

Cream

ColourPop Super Shock Shadow in La La | $5 | This is actually quite similar in colour to Unbelievable and Grandstand but has a cream formula. The ColourPop formula is opaque, non-greasy and has a spongy texture. I love using these metallic-finish shades to press on the centre of my lid for an evening look and it's virtually indestructible when it comes to longevity!

L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Amber Rush | £10.95 | This has a slightly cooler, more silvery tone to it, so if you're fair then this is the perfect way to wear rose gold. When they say 'infallible', they aren't kidding! This has that intense, opaque finish with a metallic, almost wet, look to it but doesn't crease or fade all day long.

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eyeshadow in Copper | £23 | This is more of a warm gold than a copper, I guess, but it's such a stunning shade I still wanted to include it in this post. It works as an inner-corner highlight on deeper skin tones or as an all-over lid colour if you're fair (I personally use it for both!) It's so long-lasting and has the most gorgeous finish once applied.

Liner

Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pencil in Opal Overcoat* | £12 | Sorry for the mislabelling of this shade below! This is actually a pinky-champagne shimmer shade that's perfect for brightening your eyes up when you're wearing a rose gold-toned eye look. The formula is creamy, pigmented and lasts really well, even on my watery eyes!

ColourPop Creme Gel Pencil Liner in Show Me | $5 | This is a warm bronze-gold pencil eyeliner that's perfect with a warmer, more copper-toned look. I really love this formulation - they're pretty much as good as my Urban Decay ones but for a fraction of the price!

  9. I never knew that L'Oreal did those infallible eyeshadows, they look so pretty I love this one you've featured it is beautiful! I adore the wet look so shadows give as it just looks so sleek and lovely when it hits the light! Pale girls you say....I'm here haha! The colourpop liner looks really nice as well, I can see myself creating a wing with that and nothing else except a bit of matte brown in the crease!

Whenever I visit the US again, I'm getting it for sure as the colors are just so gorgeous. These are all so beautiful. I have Colourpop La La and Amber Rush and I love them so much. x
