Although I did have a frugal January, I got plenty of beauty goodies for Christmas that I've been enjoying testing out this month. I still haven't had a chance to give a lot of it a proper go, so I will be reporting back over the next few weeks on those but for now these are my January Favourites.
Zoeva Coral Spectrum Blush Palette* | £15 | post
A few weeks ago, I got my hands on this stunning blush palette with four different coral shades. The pigmentation of these is seriously amazing and I love the colours. There are three matte shades and one shimmer, all of which have a lovely formulation. I know this will be my go-to when spring comes around as the colours are so pretty and vibrant.
I strongly suggest you get your hands on this limited edition palette whilst you can, as it's worth the slightly-higher-than-expected price tag. The packaging is beautiful, right down to how the shades are laid out in the palette. The colours themselves are beautiful; a mix of everyday nudes and smokier shades that are still within the neutral-lover's comfort zone. The formula is beautifully creamy and pigmented too.
KIKO Super Colour Mascara in 05 Plum | £5.90
I was gutted when Clinique's limited edition plum-toned mascara sold out so quickly as I hadn't seen anything quite like it and I thought it would be gorgeous for this time of year. However my mum got me this for Christmas, which is perfect as it's a permanent, more affordable product to experiment with. It's a nice mascara, adding a nice amount of length and some serious volume. However the reason I love it is for the subtle plum colour. It's a really low-key way to wear colour and whilst I'm not sure how it would look on fair hair, for darker lashes it just adds something a little extra.
Too Faced Love Flush Long-Lasting Blush in Baby Love | £25 | post
Several people have commented on my blog that they think I'd love this, so I decided to get my hands on it this month. As you may have guessed, they were right! It's that gorgeous mauve-y nude cheek colour I love, and also has slightly peachy tones to it. It has a shimmer but just looks natural and healthy on the skin. It's a really fine powder so applies easily for a subtle everyday look.

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm | £38 (100ml) | post
I got a little mini of this for Christmas, which is unfortunately no longer available but it was a great way to try out a more premium product before committing to the full size. I almost wanted to not like this because of how pricey it is. Although my Body Shop Cleansing Butter definitely does the job for me, this is just that bit more gentle on my eyes and it that bit more effective. Plus there's a gorgeous scent and it feels so luxurious on my skin. I'm so tempted to repurchase this! You only need a tiny amount so that justifies it, right?

This isn't something I'd ever buy for myself, but it's great to receive something a little more luxury as a Christmas present. The formula is rich, creamy and foaming and the scent is just incredible. It's so rich, deep and indulgent and the fragrance has some serious lasting power on my skin.
The Body Shop Hawaiian Kukui Cream | £23 | post
This was another lovely Christmas gift that I'd been looking at and sniffing for so long but just didn't ever make the splurge on. However it's actually not bad value for money as it's a huge tub and I much prefer the formula to their usual body butters. It's quite a nice, light formula but still hydrates my skin without greasiness. I also love the light, fruity fragrance.
Cowshed Cow Herb Restoring Hand Cream | £18 | post
I managed to pick this up for a fiver in TK Maxx (for every 10 dog-chewed lippies, there's a gem in there!) however I think when this runs out I'd actually repurchase it as it's that good. It has a gorgeous, relaxing lavender scent that's so nourishing without being greasy. It's especially lovely before bed as I find lavender fragrances really help me drift off into an nice, natural sleep.
Diptyque L'Eau Eau de Toilette | £58 (50ml)
I can't seem to find the little bottle in this so I've linked the larger size, however it's such a gorgeous scent for this time of year (I did also get a Fresh fragrance for Christmas but I'm saving that for Spring and getting the most out of this wintery scent whilst I can). It's not my usual bag at all, but I love the deep spicy fragrance with some floral notes.
Neom Happiness Candle | £30 | post
It was really hard for me to pick just one candle from my Christmas present haul but as this was the only one that wasn't some sort of festive limited edition, I decided to go with this (though truthfully, I happily would have included any of them!) I've also picked up a couple more of their candles in the sale, so that says a lot. This one is the Happiness candle; a gorgeous, fresh, relaxing lemon, neroli and mimosa. It fills the room beautifully with the fragrance and it's perfect for a home spa evening.
The Blogger Journal | £15.99
It's always great to support other bloggers and it really helps when they have a fab product too! This journal was put together by Stephanie of the blog Cocochic. It's a diary that helps you plan every aspect of your blog posts as well as offering hints and tips on SEO, the best times to post on social media, useful websites, Twitter chats and more. It also contains blog post ideas, motivational quotes, helps you plan your income and expenses, track monthly statistics and keep track of your PR contacts. If you want to get organised with your blog in 2016 then I thoroughly recommend picking this up!
HelloFloral Essential Makeup Kit Phone Case | £15
I've had quite a lot of questions about this lovely phone case on social media and it's from HelloFloral's Etsy shop. I love that it has cute illustrations of some of my favourite beauty products on the back; it's just so me! I like that it also has clear panels on the sides so you can still see the colour of my phone.
Allure Magazine | £4.60
I've actually been picking up this magazine on and off for a while, but realised I'd never blogged about it! It's an American beauty magazine, but don't let that put you off as you can still get a lot of the products in the UK and the content, advise and inspiration it offers are all things you can take from it regardless. It's stocked in selected W H Smith stores so if you see it on a magazine stand, definitely pick it up as I devour every single page of every issue I get my hands on!

The Kiko super colour mascara in Plum sounds lovely! I love minis, but they can be very dangerous sometimes, especially if we're talking about luxurious products, so I completely understand your attempt to justify the full size purchase of the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm!

I know right! It's got me hooked on it haha xx
DeleteWow Jasmine, so many amazing favourites this month! I really like the looks of the Zoeva blush palette and I think you may have swayed me to buy this! The blog planner also sounds super nice! I have always wanted to try the Emma Hardie cleanser but it's hard to buy here in Australia and us very pricy. I might try the Body Shop version that you mentioned! xx

I love the look of the Too Faced blush, looks perfect for everyday. I can never seem to get my hands on Allure. I think I saw it once but didn't think it had enough in to warrant paying almost a fiver #stingy haha
ReplyDeleteKirstie | Behind The Scent (formerly Kimamely Beauty)
It's one of the only magazines I read cover to cover and I it doesn't have all the ads that some other magazines do of a similar price so I think the amount of actual content is comparable xx
DeleteSo many gorgeous products! That Ciate palette is calling my name :) I definitely need to try the Emma Hardie cleanser, everyone loves it so much, I have to see what's that all about :) x

What a great list of favourites and I am instantly zoomed in on the Zoeva blush palette, I haven't seen it featured on any other blog. I love blushers so I'm going to check how much it would be in CAD.

You always round up a really good selection of favourites, I love that you never have too much of just one brand as well. The Emma Hardie cleansing balm sounds really good. I've been really into skincare this month and I've been trialling the Oskia cleanser, but I know that Emma Hardie cleanser is extremely popular as well!

That phone case is so cute :) and definitely have my eye on those Zoeva blush palettes! I'm always itching to try new blushers and £15 for 4 is SO reasonable.
ReplyDeleteKat | www.kathorrocks.com
Yeah, you can't really argue with less than £5 per blusher shade :) xx
DeleteI want that mascara now! I'm so glad I found your blog (my bank balance isn't) I've found a lot of new products to try and I rarely buy anything these days without reading a few blog reviews first.
