REVIEW & SWATCHES || Makeup Revolution Naked Chocolate Palette

I'm sure you've heard of this little beauty! The latest release by Makeup Revolution has taken the blogosphere by storm and being a huge fan of the brand, neutral eyeshadows and chocolate, obviously I had to post on it! Say hello to a new favourite of mine: Naked Chocolate (£7.99)...

The I Heart Chocolate Palette has been such a well-loved part of my makeup collection so I was so excited they released this one. The shades are pretty much 'me' in a palette and the packaging is made up like a bar of white chocolate with the same big mirror and sturdiness of the others in the Chocolate range.

Now I've been able to use all the shades I can confirm that these eyeshades are fantastic quality just like the other chocolate palette I have! Is it just me or is this the first time in ages there's been a new product in the I Heart Makeup line?

They're pretty much a neutral-lover's paradise with a nice mix of mattes and shimmers, browns, golds, rose golds, taupes...

Sorry for the lighting change - the sun was being unreliable :(

Smoothly is your cream matte base! It's actually really nicely pigmented too. Divine is a gorgeous rose gold shimmer I absolutely love. Mocha Love still has a hint of rose gold but is darker and browner. Dipped is an earthier brown shimmer and Choc-Fest is a gorgeous pearlescent burgundy, though I did find Choc-Fest a little hard to blend out, which I didn't find with any other shades

Adorable is a cream shimmer with a hint of pink. Buttons is a shimmery dark grey-brown, which is perfect for adding a bit of smokiness. I really like Frosted Choc, it's a warm shimmery golden brown. Delight is another shimmer, a dark grey with a slight hint of purple. Sweet Shop is a really well-pigmented warm brown matte. Suger is a purple-brown shade with a gorgeous pearlescent sheen.

I love the bright gold shimmer of Double Dip. Tob-le-rone is a sort of taupe matte, it could be a little more pigmented but it works well enough as a crease colour. White (odd name, but I did double-check it!) is a darker brown matte and it's super pigmented! Milky, is a pinker matte taupe, with a similar pigment to Tob-le-rone. Finally, Way is a funny colour; sort of a white, bright shimmer with a hint of yellow-gold which is a great inner-corner highlight.

Not a single shade had fallout and I find these last all day (though they aren't looking quite so fresh 10+ hours later). They're just beautiful and it's another big 'yes' from Makeup Revolution for me! I think there's a good selection of shades; it doesn't feel same-y, but they all fit the theme. I personally prefer shimmers so it doesn't bother me that there are fewer mattes, but I do like that they have a few in there. They have a nice, soft, blend-able texture and there isn't a proper dud in there at all.

  6. This palette looks beautiful! I was very tempted to get it but I know that I wouldn't reach for it that often having already like 10 other neutral palettes :) The quality of Makeup Revolution eye shadows is amazing, especially for the price. xx

  20. The design of the palette looks really cute. Some of the shades are quite similar to Stila's starlight palette – but has more options than the Stila one. Good find!
