The festive party season is upon us! So I thought I would do a makeup and outfit look to maybe give you a little inspiration for a special occasion.
Foundation: MAC Studio Fix Fluid, Concealer: Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, Powder: Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder, Highlight: Makeup Revolution Radiant Light in Breathe, Contour: KIKO Golden Game Sculpting Bronzer, Blusher: Nars Orgasm
I absolutely love cream eyeshadows as they make it look like you did so much more work than you really did! I went for a light dusting of Nars Orgasm on the cheeks as the lips were bold and the eyes were still there so I didn't want to have another thing going on.
Brows: Benefit BrowZings Wax & Powder and e.l.f. Wet Gloss, Browbone Highlight: Essence Big Bright Eyes Jumbo Pencil in 01, Eyeshadow Base: e.l.f. Smudge Pot in Back to Basics, Eyeshadow: MAC Amber Lights, Winged Eyeliner: e.l.f. Studio Cream Eyeliner in Black, Bottom Water Line: e.l.f. Studio Cream Eyeliner in Copper, Under Eye: KIKO Long-Lasting Stick Eyeshadow in 07 Golden Beige, Mascara: Benefit They're Real, Lip Liner: KIKO Ace of Diamond Lip Pencil in Refined Burgundy, Lipstick: MAC Diva
In terms of hair I'm not too wild about using extensions at the moment so I've just kept it simple and put in some loose curls, secured in place with a spritz of the Normal Hold L'Oreal Elnett. Myself and some other lucky bloggers were able to choose a dress after attending the launch of LBD's Own Label Collection. I went for the Diana*, as it really is timeless - it was 'in' 20 years ago when Diana wore it and I'm sure it will still be stunning in 20 years' time!
It really is so well-made and very structured to hold it all in place and allow for a bit of alcohol bloat. It also has this lovely ruching down the sides.
For this New Year/Christmas look I've styled it with a gorgeous wine-coloured stole* from Dorothy Perkins. Everything else is past season, I'm afraid! I've linked similar items below though. The suede-look platform courts were around £20 from New Look and the clutch was £30-ish from River Island. The jewellery are also past season the jewelled ring was from a pack from River Island, which is also where I got the earrings.
Dress: The Diana LBD*, Stole: Dorothy Perkins*, Shoes: New Look (past season - similar here), Earrings: River Island (past season - similar here)
Ring: River Island (past season - similar here), Bag: River Island (past season - similar here), Nails: Essie Wicked
So, there it is! A glamorous Christmas or New Year party look. I've linked all the products below the images and all the makeup is super long-lasting so will stay in place all night long. I hope you enjoyed it!
What will you be rocking this party season?
