What's in my Handbag? || Work Bag Edition

As I've recently got my first proper job since graduating, I thought I'd do a workday WIMH. This bag really is a bit of a Mary Poppins one! I got it for Christmas last year and it's from River Island (they do my favourite bags on the high street); it's perfect for work as it's stylish, goes with everything and can fit an A4 size. I actually got complimented on it in a job interview once!

I always have an umbrella in there: I live in Manchester (no further explanation needed!)

My brown purse is from Urban Outfitters. It's definitely a little worse for wear but I've not seen anything else out there that holds all my cards! I have a separate little duck-print pass holder from Accessorize with 3 compartments where I keep my Railcard, Oyster Card and any train tickets I need. I also always have my keys but they were in the door when I took the photo, which is usually where they are when I've 'lost my keys'.

I have an iPhone 5 (not pictured, as I took the photo with it) so the charge really doesn't last long. I always keep a spare charger in my bag. I also keep a cheap pair of earphones in there as my Dre Beats headphones can be a little bulky.

I also have a bus ticket in there, there were millions of bus and train tickets in here until about a week ago when I had a clear out! I do tend to keep hold of these for the McDonald's deals. I also have my work pass and the business card of one of the team leaders I sat with for an induction session.

There's a cardboard folder where I keep any PowerPoints or sheets I might need and I have a notebook from Paperchase, where I can keep everything I need to know in one place, and obviously a couple of spare pens.

Of course I have my Rayban glasses, which I have to wear to read or look at screens - so I wouldn't get very far in my day without them! Today I have my iPad in there, though I wouldn't usually. If I'm attending an event or meeting friends in town a couple of hours after work, it isn't really worth me going home. So I'll take my iPad, sit in Starbucks and reply to comments, emails and read blogs.

Finally I have my amazing little £3 Primark makeup bag! It's the perfect size to go in my handbag. I keep inside it: my lip colour of the day (often a Revlon Lip Butter for work), a matte face powder (to control my shine!), an e.l.f. powder brush, a Nivea hand cream (which is really nice and moisturising for this time of year), a Cuticura hand gel (which appears to have been cut out of the picture...), a tin of Vaseline, a mini Sure deodorant, some tissues and some painkillers for if me or anyone else gets a headache. I can also fit in the little makeup bag extra stuff if I'm going somewhere after work and want to touch up my makeup a bit, so that's always handy!
