It's summertime! So, as I do every year, I'm sharing the everyday makeup I'm going for during this season (minus the boring bits - yes, I set my makeup, but it's not with any special, summer-specific powder!) Of course, there's lots of glow and I like to keep everything lightweight, breathable and long-wearing...

Starting with complexion; I'm really enjoying using the Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint SPF30 (Matira) | £43 | full review. This contains sunscreen, so needs a good shake before use, and has a dropper applicator. To be honest; I often just apply this with my hands, to work the product into my skin. It gives a smooth, even 'second skin' look, reducing the appearance of redness, veins (I have very visible ones!) and uneven skin tone, whilst being incredibly light on the skin. It definitely has a dewy finish, but it's still really long-wearing; just powder any problem areas for shine and you're good to go! A concealer I've used for years that's perfect for summer days is the Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer (Ginger) | £24 (15% off with code JASMINETALKS_LF). I love this formula because it's so easy to apply and blend out with the fingers. It gives a medium coverage, it's long-wearing and can be used both to spot conceal and under the eyes. Although it's billed as 'matte', it's nothing overly thick or heavy and is very moveable with the warmth of your fingers as you dab it on.

For the cheeks; of course it's all cream products, because I've not really been using much else recently! My perfect summer cheek duo is the Kosas Colour + Light Creme in Helios | £28. This is probably my all-time favourite cream formula; it has this emollient dewiness to it, but it's so quick and easy to apply (with just a few dabs of my fingers), and lasts extremely well on my skin. There's this gorgeous warm, sheeny, pearlescent gold colour as a highlight and then this burnt reddish-orange shade as a blusher. I'm head-over-heels for this beautiful, summery colour combination. To add some warmth and define my face a little, I like to use the Nudestix Nudies Matte Blush & Bronze in Terracotta Tan | £28. This is a lovely formula, that's easy to apply and difficult to go overboard with (I personally use a dense synthetic brush with this, as opposed to swiping it directly onto my skin). It has a more matte finish than a lot of cream bronzers I've used, which also gives it great longevity on my skin. I love this colour; it's definitely not orange but definitely creates a 'just caught the sun' effect.

On the eye, I keep it simple with a little bit of the Nudestix Magnetic Luminous Eye Colour in Copper Foil | £20 | across the lid (sometimes for a bit of something more in the crease and across the lower lash-line, I will use my bronzer shade to pull everything together). This gives such a beautiful molten metal finish and (as long as you use an eye primer) it will last you all day, crease-free. This is a really beautiful warm gold that's perfect for summer. To define my eyes in a really subtle way, I use the Stila Smudge Stick Liner in Intense Smoky Quartz | £16 | inside the lash line on the top and bottom. This is a dark, warm brown, so looks less harsh than black and stays in place without smudging or transferring all day.

To finish off the eyes, I go for a little something in the brows and lashes. The Glossier Lash Slick Mascara | £14 | full review | has been something I've repurchased every summer since it launched, because no matter how hot it is and how sweaty I get; it just never smudges or flakes! It's quite a natural mascara, which I personally quite like, because it keeps my lashes looking long and separated. For the brows, a quick and easy option is the Milk Makeup Kush Fibre Brow Gel (Grind) | £21. This really voluminses the brows and makes them look darker and fuller in a few quick swipes, as well as holding them in place.

Lastly; lips. I have a bunch of different colours in this product but the perfect summer shade for me is the Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment in Punch | £19.50. It's moisturising and contains SPF15. This is a wash of warm red colour that's far more pigmented than the majority of tinted lip balms I've tried. It gives a lovely, glossy look and is the perfect fuss-free summer pop of colour.
