Today I've had a look through my skincare stash to pull out my favourites that you can pick up from BeautyBay. I have some old favourites and new discoveries in the mix, so hopefully there are one or two products you haven't come across or had been eyeing up but didn't know if they was worth getting.
Alpha H Liquid Gold | £33.50 (for full size) | This is a seriously intense glycolic acid toner, meaning that it chemically exfoliates the skin, removing and dead cells for a smoother, more radiant and even complexion. It's not one that I'd recommend for sensitive skin because when I went through a period where my skin was reacting a lot, it really didn't like this product! However for more robust skin types it's amazing at giving your skin an instant glow boost.
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion | £16 | It took me a little while to get to grips with this product, but now I have, I really enjoy it! Essentially, you dip a cotton wool bud into the pink sediment (don't shake the bottle beforehand) and apply it directly onto any blemishes. I'm sure if you're a less restless sleeper than me, you could use it overnight, however I personally just use it on casual days when I'm not really heading out to do much. Overnight (or within 5-8 hours during the day), it dries out spots (with Salicylic Acid) so the swelling and soreness is gone and they're far less visible.
Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Face Mask* | £22 | This is my third tube of this stuff and it arrived just in time after I ran out of the last one! It's one of those masks I can reach for and know it will help; whether I'm a bit dehydrated, spotty, lacklustre or all of the above! It's a nourishing natural mask with a runny, honey-like texture. I leave it on for 10-15 minutes and it partially sinks into the skin before I rinse it off properly. It really helps to nourish my skin without being heavy or smothering and the natural antibacterial properties of honey means it helps keep my skin clear too.
Pai Bioregenerate Rosehip Oil* | £22 | My bad - this seems to be sold out at the moment! However hopefully it comes back soon because I love it. Rosehip is amazing both at nourishing the skin, whilst being lightweight and non-greasy, but also for evening the texture and tone of the skin. It just seems to revitalise my skin in every single way, improving its overall quality and smoothing things out.
Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel* | £31 | I must be on my 3rd bottle of this, so again, it's a firm favourite! It's a gel-to-oil cleanser so I personally use it on dry skin in the morning, massaging the product in before splashing my face with water (it then emulsifies). It's just a nice, refreshing cleanser that leaves my skin feeling clean but hydrated. It contains vitamins and enzymes to help keep your skin looking healthy and radiant.
Lovely Day Skin Rescue* | £40 | I do love a facial oil and over the past few months I've been reaching for this one regularly. It's really lovely for dry and even sensitive, redness-prone skin types, as it contains blue tansy and argan oil. It doesn't leave an excess on the skin either, so don't be scared of this even if you are on the more spot-prone side because it does help me with the irritation and inflammation I sometimes get with breakouts. It won't clog your pores or smother your skin either.
Nugg Cleanse, Exfoliate, Soothe & Hydrate Face Mask Kit* | £15 | I personally find the masks in this set pretty similar to each other! You get 4 little pods of product and the masks have a sort of translucent, semi-gel formula. This makes them so cooling and hydrating on the skin. They're really great if you want to give things an instant moisture injection.
Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre | £17 | This is a product I've used up a tube of and already have a backup for when this is gone! It's my favourite everyday moisturiser but can also be used as a night cream or even an all-in-one face cream and primer. It has this gorgeous lightweight, whipped texture that's so nourishing without being heavy or thick. It smooths the skin and is so hydrating, taking care of any dry patches. It's a cult product for a reason!
Niod Sanskrit Saponins | £34 | This is another repurchase and this time I've got the big tube! I should probably tell you what this is, because the name isn't very helpful; it's a cleanser. However it has the most unusual, almost paste-like texture. I use it in the morning on dry skin (it's specifically not intended for removing makeup) or as my second cleanse. It leaves my skin soft but thoroughly clean without making it feel dry or stripped. It's amazing at balancing out my combination skin, somehow removing surface oils from my t-zone whilst hydrating my dry patches.
Tony Moly I'm Real Aloe Sheet Mask Moisturising | £5 | I've tried a ton of these sheet masks but this one is my favourite and I have about 5 of it in my drawer! It's such an amazing refreshing, soothing, moisturising sheet mask. Whenever my skin is tired, sensitive or irritated, I reach for this and it always does the job.

ReplyDeleteThere were so much complains about Beauty Bay in the Canadian beauty FB groups that I am in. Late deliveries, horrible customer services, not sure if any of these are true but it deterred me from placing an order through them. :-(

Another wonderful post from you Jasmine! I've been meaning to try the liquid gold for SO long, as I've heard so much about it, but still haven't got round to it (I bought the Soft Glam by ABH in the end, so my bank account is rather unhappy atm) however I shall do in the near future - looks too good to resist! I also love the sound of that Manuka Honey face mask - I need some repair and nourishment currently! x Thank you for the recommendations! x
