I always have a little tray of essential beauty bits by my bedside so I can reach for them whenever I need to. Today I thought I'd talk you through those products in a quick little post!
Comfort Zone Tranquility Candle | £25 | This is pretty much my favourite candle at the moment! I went to a spa that did a full body massage with these products and the scent was so gorgeous I had to get myself the candle. It's a warm blend of floral, sweet orange and cedar wood that I find so relaxing - the fragrance fills my room in minutes.
Glossier Coconut Balm Dotcom | £10 | I find this multipurpose balm so handy - I'm never too far from a tube! This one is coconut-scented and the product can be used on dry patches of skin and to quickly and easily moisturise the lips. I especially like to use it in the morning because it sits really nicely under lip products and isn't overly shiny or thick.
Molton Brown Gingerlily Enriching Hand Lotion* | £20 | I just finished the hand lotion I'd already had on the go, and after trialling this before Christmas, I knew it had to be the next one to crack open for my bedside table. It's just a great everyday product - it's lightweight and moisturising without leaving my hands feeling greasy or slippery at all. The fragrance is actually a bit unusual and right up my street - sweet, fresh and slightly spicy all at once.
Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm | £10 | This is my go-to overnight lip balm - it's definitely a heavier option but it's so intensely nourishing. My lips have been quite sore and chapped from the cold recently, so I'm sure never to skip this! It smells amazing and leaves my lips smooth and soft by morning.
REN & Now to Sleep Pillow Spray* | £18 | This is the perfect pillow mist for people who aren't into overpowering lavender or strong fragrances - it has a subtle, almost earthy scent. It contains a blend of frankincense, lavender and hops which is so relaxing. Even if it's partially a placebo effect, I always fall asleep quickly and have a more restful night's sleep when I use this.
Pai Rosehip Bioregenerate Oil* | £22 | I tend to use an oil before bed every other night during the winter months to keep my skin nourished. This is lightweight, non-greasy option that doesn't smother combination or oily skin and won't break you out. It just really makes my skin look and feel plump, soft and hydrated, as well as helping to balance my skin's texture and colouration.
Lush Sleepy Body Lotion | £7.95 | I really love the blend of sweet fruitiness and lavender this lotion has. It has a very light texture and I keep it by my bedside so that even when I'm not using it all over the body, I can apply it on the insides of my wrists and neck, so the relaxing scent is still present.
Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater | £7 | A face mist is an essential for me - I use them in the morning, after cleansing, and in the evening, before applying a night cream or treatment. This is a nicely-fragranced, very moisturising option that refreshes and calms my skin, leaving it nice and soft.

We always have the same ideas for blog posts, but I always schedule them so much in advance that you always come first, haha! I've got one scheduled for the end of this month ^^ I find it such an interesting topic, that more people should share online.
ReplyDeleteI'm always a bit sceptical about lip balms that can be used on the face; I feel like it would feel so greasy if I put it on dry patches, or the lip balm is not moisturising enough for my lips, which I do really need. I'd rather keep them separate, or use the product either one way or the other. I've read so many good reviews on the BalmDotCom though.
I love pillow sprays! I'm currently hooked on the ThisWorks DeepSleep one.

I love the idea of applying body lotion on the inside of your wrists and neck when not using all over the body, I’ve never tried this before but will definitely be doing it now thank you for the tip.

I've always wondered whether pillow sprays could be a thing for me - as you say it's probably partly placebo, but I'm tempted to try it out and see what happens. REN's a good brand so I'm not surprised the spray is good :)
ReplyDeleteI always keep my Avene lip balm stick and apply it before bed, as well as my Nuxe hand cream - hydrating the skin in the night is so important!
