What I Got For Christmas

It's that time of year again! I don't know about you but I love reading these posts out of sheer nosiness but this might also give you an idea of what to expect in terms of reviews on my blog in the coming weeks. I'm not even going to bother with a disclaimer, really, as I've never 'got' how showing what you got for Christmas was more 'brag-gy' than any other haul (which is a whole other topic...) I'm incredibly grateful to everyone for all my gifts and really quite overwhelmed, especially as I'm 23, you kind of expect the presents to drop off. This year I've been especially thankful; I don't want to be all 'woe is me' because I'm not delusional about my life(!) however I've had a lot of financial burdens this past few month, meaning I haven't been able to get myself many little treats at all. So I'm really grateful to my loved ones for being extra generous because they've probably seen me struggling a lot lately!

GHD V Gold Copper Luxe Styler Premium Gift Set | This was actually an early gift from my mum as I accidentally left mine at my friend's (miles away!)  so quite urgently needed a replacement, plus the ones I'd been using were on their last legs. These are a beautiful set of rose gold stylers with copper detailing. They also come with a travel bag and a matching Nails Inc polish. These are perfect if you have fine-medium hair and want something that both straightens and curls (you can do anything from tight ringlets to soft waves) without tugging on the hair at all.

Huda Beauty Liquid Matte in Trendsetter | I am soooo excited about this as I've heard amazing things about these liquid lipsticks. I've only used it once but the colour is a warm terracotta nude that's right up my street and the formula is very comfortable. This is so many people's favourite liquid lipstick formula and the early signs are that it lives up to the hype for me.

Huda Beauty Lip Contour in Trendsetter | This is the matching lip pencil in the same colour. It seems to have a nice, creamy consistency and I think I'd wear it with more lip colours that I own than just the Trendsetter Liquid Matte.

MAC Strobe Cream in Goldlite | Another product I'm very excited about! I have heard so much about the MAC Stobe Cream over the years but I always knew the pinky-iridescent colour of it wasn't going to be for me, so I can't wait to play with this light gold colour (which looks quite natural on my skin). A lot of people apply this as a primer but I think I'm going to have a good play around to see how I like it use it.

Clinique Body Gift Set | I've never actually tried Clinique body products so I'm really excited to give these a go. There's an exfoliator in here as well as two nourishing products, which I think will be great for this time of year.

Elemental Herbology Grapefruit & Mandarin Body Wash | I'm really pleased I got this because with my current living/rent situation I can't really treat myself to little indulgences like a fancy body wash. This has a lovely sweet, subtle fruity scent and I think the pump is going to be really handy for those weekday mornings.

Aquolina Pink Sugar Shower Gel | Me and my mum are a huge fan of Aquolina products, especially the sugar scents so it was really nice that she got me the Pink Sugar shower gel, as it's pretty hard to find in the UK. It has a light, sweet scent that's not anything too sickly or overpowering.

Philosophy Snow Angel Shower Gel & Bubble Bath | I actually have another of these but this little mini I got for Christmas will be handy for when I go away. I love Philosophy shower gels and bubble baths because they're so nice and creamy on the skin but also give you amazing bubbles in the bath. I find the scent of this hard to describe - it's almost like sweet, sugary snow.

The Body Shop Vanilla Chai Foaming Bath | I haven't used this one yet so we'll see how it performs bubbles-wise, however I love the spicy vanilla scent.

Molton Brown 12 Days of Christmas Gift Collection | This was such a kind gift off my boyfriend's mum. It's 12 mini Molton Brown shower gels and I don't think there's a single scent in here that I wouldn't use!

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Dry Oil | I am a huge fan of this stuff so had to put the large bottle on my Christmas list (as I'm almost out of the splash bottle)! This has a spray pump, which is going to be a bit more practical. I love this oil because it's so intensely nourishing but not at all greasy.

Cowshed Cow Herb Restoring Hand Cream | This hand cream smells amazing; it's got this relaxing lavender fragrance. It also has a nice nourishing formula and you don't need to apply much of it for lasting relief from dryness. This little tube will be perfect for my desk at work.

Voluspa Macaron Candle | This is a mini candle scented like macaroons that I think my boyfriend got from Anthropologie. It comes in such a pretty, decorative pot too.

Kiss Air Personalised Blogger Candle | This was such a lovely (and accurate!) surprise from my mum. This one is specifically for bloggers but there's a whole range of personalised candles to check out if you know someone with a birthday coming up. It says my name, 'eat sleep blog repeat' and the name of my blog! You can also select the fragrance - my mum couldn't remember which one she'd chosen when I'd asked but it smells like the Champagne & Pomelo option to me, so let's go with that... I will definitely be cleaning out the holder when I've used up the candle to have it on display or for storage.

Yankee Holiday Plum Large Candle | This is such a nice, sweet, fruity but frosty scent. I'm a big fan of Yankee candles so it's always nice to discover a fragrance I've never tried before.

Yankee Clean Cotton Large Candle | This is a really nice fresh, clean scent that I think is perfect when you want to burn a candle but not have an overbearing fragrance. It's also a good one for a kitchen or bathroom to keep everything smelling fresh.

Jasmine Incense Sticks | Incense is a really good idea and these have a floral Jasmine scent, which is appropriate! I'll definitely be on the lookout for a nice holder for these as I want to get into incense sticks now.

Topshop Velvet Floral Smock Dress | I tried on this dress and instantly loved it so my mum got it me as one of my Christmas presents. It's such lovely fabric and has black velvet with floral embroidery. I think this is the perfect dress to wear when you're out for the day but want something to take you through to evening. I really struggle with not-too-casual-not-too-dressy clothes (as I discovered last time I went to the theatre) but this nails that look perfectly.

River Island Grey Skinny Strap Watch | I haven't had a watch in ages and definitely needed one! River Island just do the best affordable watches in my opinion. This has a large copper-toned face with a light grey strap.

River Island Black Patent Chunky Heel Ankle Boots | I actually saw my mum in these boots a few weeks ago and said how much I liked them, so she got a pair for me! They have this sort of croc effect, which I really like because it's more interesting than my usual plain black boots but will still go with just about my entire wardrobe. They seem really comfy and are a good height for me too.

Kate Spade Orchard Street Hemsley in Black | I absolutely love this bag and am so grateful to my lovely boyfriend for getting it for me! I think this colour is sold out at the moment but the Crisp Linen is also really nice; I just didn't want that because I have a different style in that colour. This is going to be one of those 'every single day' bags that goes with everything and is just so practical. If you'd like to see some sort of review/'what's in my handbag' featuring this then let me know in the comments.

Espirit Studded Tassel Bag | This was a really lovely surprise! It's the perfect 'evening out' size for me and also one I'll wear a lot during the daytime. I tend to go for black leather because it goes with so much and I definitely prefer gold hardware so this is spot-on for my style.

Kayond Blue Elephant Laptop Bag | I seriously needed a new laptop bag so I was really happy I have got this. I love the print on it too (my boyfriend did well) as it's hard to find laptop bags that are functional but don't look boring or ugly!

Framed Photo | This was a very sweet gift off my boyfriend's grandparents; a framed photo of me and my boyfriend from the night before his sister's wedding.

Anthropologie Gold Monogram Mug | This is pretty much the perfect stocking-filler so I wish I'd thought to get some of these for people I know! I've not quite decided whether to use this for drinking from or for decorative storage.

Feelunique 2017 Beauty Diary | This was another really thoughtful stocking-filler from my mum. It was also great timing because I was about to buy a new planner for organising my blog content! It's really nice and stylish with a good amount of space per day for me and contains beauty tips and discount codes for the website.

Bloom by Estee Lalonde | In all honesty I'm rarely interested in YouTuber-written (or in some cases 'written') books, however after watching Estee's video about the process of writing this, I was definitely interested. Hopefully this will be a good read and I'll update you on how I get on with it.

Pretty Iconic by Sali Hughes | I was a huge fan of Pretty Honest (an absolute must-read, which I reviewed here) so of course wanted to check out Sali Hughes's next book. This is less advice-driven and more about the beauty products that have 'changed the world'. It's a different take on the topic but I'm looking forward to it!

Personalised Parker Pen | I must complain about people stealing my pens a lot because this is the second personalised one I've received this year! It's a nice, quality pen with my full name on it in gold so I'll definitely be replacing the ink when this runs out so I can keep using it.

Hotel Chocolat Everything Sleekster | I'm so glad I got this because it isn't Christmas without Hotel Chocolat! This is a nice big box with a really nice selection inside. Hotel Chocolat is my favourite; they're always such good quality.
