I have to admit that the cheerleader/US college Campus Idol Limited Edition isn't the most 'me' in terms of theme (like Daring Game or Rebel Romantic), however after receiving and loving a product from it for Christmas I decided to explore the rest of the range.
Pump it Up Volume & Curl Mascara | £8.90
I must admit, I kind of picked this up for the novelty value! And at the same price point as most drugstore mascaras; why not? As you can see, it has a pretty interesting wand and I've never seen anything quite like it. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed using this mascara. It did lengthen my lashes a little but it injected some real volume without any clumps. It didn't flake during the day and it held a curl nicely. I probably have others I like more but I'm pretty happy I picked this one up.
All Stars Face Palette in 02 Beauty Coral | £14.90
I have to say, I basically bought this for the bronzer as I'm obsessed with the one from the Rebel Romantic collection (which is sadly no longer available). However I also liked the idea of having all my cheek products in one palette. The texture of the blush and bronzer is really smooth, however the highlighter is slightly chalkier unfortunately. The matte bronzer is nice and warm without being orange on the skin. It's really nice and easy to apply to the parameters of my face to add a little something. The coral-toned semi-matte blusher is a lovely shade and applies nicely for a natural flush of colour. I don't find it fades patchily during the day too, which is one of the main things I look for in a blusher. The highlight is quite subtle; it looks fairly matte but has a very slight sheen. It's not my favourite and it's definitely a super-subtle look but it works well enough for a daytime look.
Double Dare Eyeshadow & Eyeliner in 02 Copper & Chocolate | £7.90
This is the one my mum got for me for Christmas and of course it's my favourite product from the range as I'm obsessed with the permanent KIKO Long-Lasting Stick Eyeshadows. This shade is copper; a golden-bronze-rose shimmer that's stunning on the inner corner. I'm pleased to report that it's just as creamy, long-lasting and pigmented as the permanent formula (personally I found the ones released in the Midnight Siren collection fell short of the permanent line's quality). Chocolate is a deep brown eyeliner I like to use on my tight line as a less-harsh alternative to black that makes my lashes look fuller. The formula is creamy enough to apply well but also waxy enough not to smudge and smear.
Double Match Lipstick & Lipliner in 04 Sweet Marsala | £7.90
I can't believe more brands aren't doing something like this, as it's pretty ingenious! One end is a lip liner and the other is a lipstick crayon. I must admit I was a little disappointed that the lipstick wasn't a semi-matte, creamy formula. It's pigmented but really quite glossy and I'd have preferred a more satin finish. However the lip liner is creamy enough to fill my lips in entirely before dabbing a little of the lipstick in the centre. The liner is really nice and easy to apply but waxy enough to be long-lasting. The lipstick is pretty sheeny so obviously doesn't have as long a wear-time.

Copper looks like such a beautiful shade. I have to say that I probably wouldn't be drawn to this from the packaging alone but it sounds like there's some real gems in this collection! x

I swatched the face palette in store and was quite disappointed by the pigmentation and the colour of the bronzer - to me, it does look quite orange. That's why I didn't pick it up. Such a shame because I adore the look of the packaging!

I really like the Sweet Marsala shade, though lipstick is not long lasting but I can overlook that for that shade. Interesting wand shape that Mascara has. Double ended lip products are so cool :)

That mascara wand is seriously eye catching, I can see why you picked it up first as a novelty thing. I have to admit even though a lot of these sound really good the packaging kind of throws me. I think I prefer a simpler design and something a little more sleek.

that double dare eyeliner is gorgeous oh my! I'm just not a fan of the packaging it's quite plain and not as eye catching as their other themes!

I haven't tried anything from this range yet, Rebel Romantic is my favourite, especially the packaging of it. This wand looks really interesting, something I haven't used before. Cooper is a beauty! I like the idea of double ended products. xx

I believe it is :) xx
DeleteThe lipstick lipliner duo I'm sure I have seen in other brands but nevertheless it's a nice idea! It's good to hear opinions on mascara wands shaped like that, I'm defo not a fan they don't perform well for me but it's good it worked for you:-) I am a sucker for anything varsity so the draw for me would be that if I was to cave rather than the actual products.
