It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas... | Festive Bath, Body & Fragrance

Now it's mid-December I'm comfortable to say it's almost Christmas and act accordingly! I've put together the best of Wintery, Festive bath and body products for you. Whether it's to have a pamper session for yourself or as last-minute gift inspiration, I hope you enjoy.

I've mentioned my love of indulgent 'foodie' scents many times and Library of Fragrance's Egg Nog sounded right up my street. It has hints of spicy ginger, sweetness and something a little bit milky and alcoholic! The scent is noticeable without being overwhelming and I can still smell it on me by the end of the day. It's perfect for Christmas and would make the cutest little stocking-filler.

You can't beat Yankee when it comes to cosy, yummy Christmas candles. This year my mum picked up Gingerbread Maple; a gorgeous blend of spicy gingerbread and sweet syrup and I've been loving it every time she's had it burning. I will definitely be picking up one for myself...

A bit of a spendy pick but I've never smelt anything quite like Diptyque's Noisetier. It has the nutty hazelnut scent but also a hint of fruitiness. The fragrance is so warm and comforting and it really does fill the entire room. I'm almost out of it and at £40 I will certainly be shedding a tear when this one's finished.

Philosophy's shower gel, shampoo and bubble bath all-in-ones never disappoint! I personally use them mainly as shower gels but also sometimes in my bath as it gets really nice and bubbly. Christmas Cookie has a gorgeous sweet vanilla baking fragrance to it and comes out as a thick, luxurious almost cream texture.

I also have Vanilla Bean Nutmeg, which has the same formula but this time the scent is a spicy vanilla mixed with something nutty and a bit of cinnamon. If you're not into super-sweet scents then this is the one for you.

I think this is my first Treaclemoon shower gel but they come in so many different scents and look just like the Philosophy ones but for a tenner less! I love the sweet, warm scent of honeycomb for this time of year and the fragrance lingers nicely on the skin after my shower. It foams up amazingly too.

The other half of this under £10 duo is the body butter. I love the light, almost mousse-like texture. It sinks in and hydrates my skin beautifully. I love using this before bed as my skin is so dry this time of year.

I also wanted to mention Treaclemoon's #BeYouProject, which is all about feeling free to express yourself despite all the pressures you may be under as a young person. Especially with exams, the festive period and everything else going on in people's lives it's really important to take some time out and relax, doing whatever it is that makes you feel like yourself!

This shower cream has a bergamot and blackcurrant fragrance, which reminds me a lot of Ribena! I love the cream but still foamy formula and there's a pretty shimmer to this product. It was nice to try something other than Snow Fairy (for once!)

Lush Rose Jam Shower Gel | £4.95 (100g)

More of a traditional shower gel is the pinky-red shimmery Rose Jam. I definitely think this is the winner for me and I will be purchasing the full size on Boxing Day! It's not quite up there with last year's Hot Toddy but I love the fragrance of this and it's unlike anything else in my stash. As the name would suggest, the scent is a blend of rose and jam.

Eggnog is basically my most loved winter scent and so I had to snap up this Lush bath bomb. It still has the distinctive spicy, milky, sweet scent but it's nothing too heavy. I'm not too keen on the Berocca-coloured bath water (I'd prefer a milky colour) but it fizzes up amazingly well and fills my entire bathroom with the fragrance, also leaving it on my skin for hours afterwards. See how it worked here.

This has to be the prettiest Lush product ever! It's a glittery star bubble bar on a stick with a spicy orange cinnamon fragrance that's nice, subtle and warm. I used it once and got serious bubbles and there's still loads left. It also turned the water a festive orange! See how it workehere.

This festive face mask has actual bits of cranberry in it and a very subtle scent. It claims to leave skin soft, matte and exfoliated. I really enjoyed using this as although it sets on the skin, it doesn't feel stiff and after use my skin wasn't dried out. In fact it was really nicely hydrating and make my skin look healthy, clear and glowing immediately after use. So far I really like it!

What are your favourite festive scents and products?

  14. Gorgeous picks! I really want a Diptyque candle but I'm not sure I can justify spending £40 on one - I feel super guilty when I spend £20ish on a Yankee! That said, I'm really not impressed with Yankee's scent throw lately so maybe I should just take the plunge and purchase something from Diptyque!

  15. That Gingerbread candle and the honeycomb products sound amazing, I love scents that are like food but my problem is they always make me hungry! I do love a good cinnamon scent around this time of the year as well, Lush used to do a Showergel called 'Glogg' that smelled amazing but they didn't bring it back this year sadly.
