Soap & Glory Lid Stuff in What's Nude?* | Review & Swatches

As long as there are slightly different shades of brown, taupe and gold I will continue to be obsessed with neutral eyeshadow palettes. Today I'm bringing you Soap & Glory's Lid Stuff Quad in What's Nude?* (£10)

This pretty much your everyday neutral eye look in a palette as considering there are only four shades you get a nice mixture of tones. Vanilla is your off-white matte base, Pink T is a lovely pinky-brown toned matte, Mudhoney is a darker brown matte (I want to say it has a slight yellowish tint) for the crease and Aubersheen is a brown shimmer with a hint of bronze that reminds me a little of MAC Satin Taupe (it looks slightly glittery however on the lids I find it more of a sheen-y shimmer).

Although £10 seems a little expensive for for a sort-of drugstore brand, the texture of these is really what sets this palette apart from others that you can get in Boots or Superdrug. The two lighter matte shades especially are so soft (though don't kick up too much fall-out) and effortless to work with. I also think that more affordable brands struggle to get mattes right and as a result there really aren't enough drugstore matte palettes, whereas in this quad you get 3 matte shades vs. a single shimmer. I find that these last really well on my eyes throughout the day as well.

All in all this palette is one I find myself reaching for all the time and I really recommend it for neutral eye lovers. My love affair with Soap & Glory makeup continues...

Have you tried Soap & Glory's makeup?

  2. This is one of my all time favourite palettes. I feel like the shades work really well together & the quality is amazing! Mudhoney was my go to brow shade but now I only use it for my brows on super lazy days where I just want a little something to make me look a little less zombie like haha. xx

  9. I adore this palette and have done for a few years, so much so that I've hit pan on 2 of the shades and I'll definitely be repurchasing it once I've completed used the shadows. It's my go to nude palette, especially for travelling!

  10. Aubersheen is really, really pretty. I think this looks like a pretty great palette for the price. I've never tried any Soap & Glory makeup, only their bath & body products and some skincare.

  16. I don't have this particular quad but I do have the shades in one of their older x-mas eyeshadows palettes and I ADORE the formula! Totally agree with you the mattes are wonderful and when I don't have time to sit down and do my eyeshadows but I want some subtle definition, these are the shadows I reach for - I would totally repurchase in the future ^_^

  22. Fab post hun, this palette looks so stunning and perfect for everyday use :)I love the look of both Pink T and Aubersheen, and the swatches look amazing. I have to agree I do find high street brands never seem to do a good matte so I think it’s definitely time for me to invest in this :)
