I know I'm a little behind on this one! However, after picking up products from the KIKO Generation Next Limited Edition Collection in dribs and drabs over the past couple of months, I thought I'd share my thoughts on the things I've tried from it whilst you can still get your hands on it! (It's also currently 30% off...)
KIKO always brings it with their surprisingly affordable Limited Edition collections and this one is no exception. Generation Next has a bit of a futuristic Korean/K-Pop theme and comes in silver and white packaging. The products themselves include Asian beauty technology.
The first thing I picked up a while back was the Mosaic Compact Blush in 01 Inspiration Rose Coral (£11.90), for obvious reasons as it's absolutely stunning! It's an unusual one as it's a little hard to get the product to pick up. However after a good few swirls of my brush it's actually a really nice blusher. Bright blushers can be difficult to work with when they're very pigmented, however this looks extremely pretty and subtle on the cheeks. It's very easy to apply and long-lasting (without going patchy!) one applied; a matte-finish bright peachy coral. It won't be for everyone but I like having this blusher in my stash.
An intriguing product I picked up was the Cool Touch Eyeshadow in 03 Revolutionary Brown (£8.90). It's a gorgeous deep (slightly red-toned) shimmer brown. The formula is a really unusual (water-based according to KIKO) cream. I find it applies best patted on using my finger, which is something I rarely say! I wouldn't say it's as long-lasting as the Maybelline Colour Tattoos, for example, but it's really quite gorgeous.
I've saved the best 'til last: the Crystal Eyeliners in 02 Technological Brown and 03 Reflect Burgundy (£6.90). These are just so pigmented and in such beautiful colours. Technological Brown is a neutral-bronze shimmer whereas Reflect Burgundy is a deep red with a more subtle sheen. The formula is beautiful; they just glide on with minimal effort. They're nice and creamy so you can smudge them out if you like however once they've set they last amazingly well throughout the day with little-to-no transfer. If you only pick up one thing from this collection then make it the eyeliner! I was recently eyeing up the much-hyped Urban Decay ones and after swatching those, I think these are very similar.

I had a blusher similar years ago (I think it was an Avon one) and absolutely loved the mix of different colours that created such a beautiful colour on the cheeks.
ReplyDeleteThis one looks just as good!
Unfortunately it's currently unavailable on the website but I hope it comes back in stock so I can add one to my collection!
Thanks for sharing :)

That blush! I would buy it just for the look! However I do wonder if the look is just a spray over, or if it goes all the way through?
