Big Spring Fashion Haul | ASOS, River Island, Topshop, Zara

I'm so glad that Spring is here! I have't done much clothes purchasing in the past few months so I took the opportunity to update my wardrobe with some basics as well as hitting the new Spring trends. To be honest I've been in a bit of a style rut; I've felt like I don't know what I like and as though nothing suits me, so I'm hoping these purchases will get me excited about fashion again.

You know I love a bit of ASOS's own brand, in part because they have a huge selection of well-priced pieces in their Tall range. I also have ASOS Premier, where for just £9.99 you get unlimited free next day delivery for a year (as well as being able to request couriered returns), so you can understand I often find myself placing orders... I picked up the Long Sleeved Stripe Top (£16, linked the regular version as the Tall one is sold out), as I think stripes are a big trend this season and it's just something I can throw on easily with my standard black jeans! The sleeves are long enough for me and it has a baggy boyfriend fit. Also, the material isn't too thin; it's opaque and good quality. I've mentioned a few times I absolutely love the ASOS Rivington Jeggings, as they come in so many sizes and lengths and I think they're so comfortable and breathable (you will never be satisfied by traditional jeans material again!), as well as being flattering and a great price. I own a few pairs but this time I got the Rivington High Waist Denim Jeggings in Washed Black with Ripped Knees (£30). I don't think I've ever worn ripped jeans in my life before but I was looking for something slightly different to my usual standard black style! Finally, of course ASOS stock a ton of high street brands so I took the opportunity to pick up a new work bag. Unfortunately the hardware on my beloved River Island bag has come off so it was time to replace it...with another of theirs! I picked up the River Island Contrast Winged Tote (£45) as I think it will go with everything and the cream makes it a little more Spring-appropriate. I'm pretty practical with handbags so the fact it had a detachable longer strap as well as a standard handle and has a zip were both pros. In my opinion River Island do the best large, durable handbags for work.

I then went to River Island itself and picked up two 3/4 Sleeve Drape Front Tops (£26) in Khaki (which is online-only) and Black. I didn't actually realise that due to the cut you really have to wear a cami top under these (or remember not to lean over...) so I think I may return the khaki one, as it didn't look right with a black cami under it. The black one however is really nice (I think the image at the source does it better justice!) as it's one of those pieces you can take from work to dinner afterwards.

In Topshop I picked up this Khaki Ribbed Tunic (£28), which annoyingly is now reduced to £18 (but good for you guys, I guess!) Khaki seems to be the colour of Spring 2015, which I'm pleased about as it's one I love! This is just a really good quality piece and a very flattering cut, so pick this up if you can. I also picked up a couple of bits of jewellery as Topshop have re-vamped it, including the packaging and I really love the changes they've made. I picked up this Semi-Precious Set Ring (£6.50), which is gorgeous but unfortunately after only a couple of wears the stone has fallen out! I also picked up this geometric necklace, which I can't find online but I only picked up last month in-store. You can have a closer look at it here.

I wasn't planning on picking up anything in Topshop when I was in London, but I'd been eyeing up the Stripe Lace Skater Dress (£34) for a while. It's that kind of sport-luxe vibe and I can already tell this is going to be my go-to dress this Spring as it's so cute and comfortable.

That wasn't all that happened! I also got this light grey Longline Knitted Jumper (£36), which is made of a really soft, lightweight material. It's the sort of thing I'd wear all the time but I'm not sure if it's a bit expensive for essentially a plain grey top...let me know what you think! the Oxford Street Topshop seems to have a lot more body jewellery than the one in Manchester so I took the opportunity to grab some. I can't find the surgical steel pack of nose studs online, I'm afraid but it cost me £10, I believe. I also got a Gold Look Belly Bar (£6.50), as it's almost summer time so I wanted somthing new to wear. Finally I picked up an Orelia V Pendant Necklace (£10), I'm not sure if they have this on the Topshop website or not as they have one that says it's 'gold' but this is definitely rose gold so you may want to check Orelia's website. Anyway it's just a really pretty, simple necklace and if, like me, you struggle to find affordable high-street costume jewellery in rose gold definitely try this brand.

Finally, (and apologies for the ridiculous sunlight!) I grabbed a couple of bits from Zara. My mum got me these Moccasin Shoes with Bow (£29.99), which are quite similar to what I always wear but if it ain't broke... They're just the kind of shoes that go with everything and the slight heel gives support and they're just really sturdy and well-made. Lastly I got just this Rayon Sweater with Buttoned Cuff (£19.99). I own a few of these from Zara and whilst they're not the most exciting thing in the world I think the fit is flattering and they're just a good basic to have.

  30. I know that feeling of when nothing seems to draw you in. I always seem to find when I go out with money set aside to get new clothes I find nothing and when I'm out just shopping around, everything I want is there. haha! I love the shoes and the dainty jewelry you got as well.
