Remember the other week when I said 21 years of never winning anything ever was suddenly being made up to me all at once? Well, it's starting to get a bit creepy now as I actually won a giveaway! I couldn't believe my luck when Emma from All That Shimmers told me I'd won her £150 Look Fantastic Voucher Giveaway with Voucher Box (if you're reading - thank you!!) so took the opportunity to treat myself to a few luxury products.
Firstly, I was really impressed with how fast this arrived. I placed the order over Bank Holiday Weekend, yet with the standard free shipping option it arrived on Tuesday. I had to treat my mum to something so she chose the Elemis Skin Nourishing Bath and Shower Cream (£24). She's had this before and really likes how creamy and nourishing it is, as well as the lovely fragrance. Also, due to the order size, there was an offer (think you had to spend £40) where you can get a 6 month subscription to Elle Magazine for just £6, which I got as I almost always pick up Elle and this way it costs me just £1 per issue.
In terms of skincare, there were two products on my hit-list I was delighted Look Fantastic stocked. Firstly I got the much-talked-about Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel (£28). I like it so far, but I'll update you on whether or not I think it's worth the splurge! Another product I've heard a lot about is the Antipodes Manuka Honey Mask (£21.99). Despite having combination skin that's really prone to blemishes, I suffer a lot from dehydration so I'm hoping this will turn things around for me! Finally I randomly picked up the Caudalie Grape Water (£6) due to the good reviews. I've heard absolutely nothing about this product but it had really good reviews. I've never tried Caudalie before but this is meant to be a super-hydrating face spray, and if it works it will be a definite re-purchase at that price.
I picked up two body-related products for myself. Firstly was the L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil (£18), which I've heard really good things about. I love shower oils that turn to a foam and I love almonds! I'm also hoping this will help my dry skin. It's pretty pricey for a relatively small bottle, but if you can't treat yourself after you win a voucher, when can you? Just to boost the price of my order and use the whole voucher I also picked up the Korres Guava Shower Gel (£8). I've never tried this brand before but I thought the fragrance sounded gorgeous for summer (I can confirm it is in real life!) and it has really good reviews.
Finally I got two more products I've been lusting after. Firstly the Moroccanoil Restorative Hair Mask (£31.85), which I'd been flip-flopping on for a while. I know everyone loves the treatment, however (whilst I found my hair felt nicer after using it) I didn't find it life-changing enough to repurchase. On the flip-side their curl-defining cream is absolutely amazing (I must dig this out again now Summer is on the way!) So I decided that winning the voucher was the perfect opportunity to give this a go. I will definitely update you on how I get on with this. Can you believe I only got one item of makeup?! I don't know what came over me! I've been wanting to pick up some products from a brand I've seen but heard relatively little about: Lipstick Queen. I picked up the Lipstick Queen Saint in Natural (£20 RRP, currently £17.10). The Saint formula is basically a sheer lip colour and natural is a gorgeous pinky-nude. I haven't worn this yet but I have high hopes!
I'm so happy I got my hands on these products I may have never got the chance to purchase myself, so thank you very much to Emma and Voucher Box!
