February was a seriously spendy month for me so it's been so hard to whittle it down to my absolute favourites but I have done! I have a few more than usual but (in case you didn't know) it's Spreading the Love Week on my blog so I've decided I get a pass!
In terms of body and skincare, I've been enjoying two products hugely this month. First is the Una Brennan Super Facialist Salicylic Acid Anti-Blemish Clay Face Mask (£8.99). I don't know why I never noticed they stocked this in my Boots but I'm so glad I finally got it! It's really done wonders for my blemishes and breakouts and it just has this amazing radiance-boosting brightening effect after you wash it off. I've also been loving Soap and Glory's Whipped Clean Shower Butter (£7). This is one of the things I got in the huge Next Big Thing set over Christmas and I really wish I'd started using it sooner! It's so creamy and nourishing but you also get a bit of foaming action. If you suffer from dry skin on your body, give it a shot. It smells great too!
For makeup there are a few combinations I can't get enough of. Firstly I'm really liking using the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Creamy Beige (£4.99) as a base before using Rimmel's Brixton Brown 5-Pan Eyeshadow (£6.99) on top of it; if you love neutral brown eyes definitely give these two a go. I know Brixton Brown doesn't look like much, especially when MUA and Makeup Revolution do huge palettes for less but the shades are lovely. I'm also loving the combination of Maybelline's Brow Satin (£5.99) and Brow Drama Sculpting Mascara (£4.99) products. They're both things I picked up as the third thing in 3 for 2s and I'm so glad I did. I'll be posting about these soon so keep an eye out! Brow Satin is beyond a brow pencil with a twist-up pencil on one end and a powder applicator on the other and Brow Drama is a gel with a great brush for a budget buy. Overall Maybelline is the brand that's really delivered for me this month. I've also constantly been wearing their Colour Drama Lip Pencil in Nude Perfection (£4.99). I thought I'd end up looking like I'd smeared concealer across my lips! However it's dark and brown enough to look like a good nude for me, I also love the slight terracotta undertones. The formula of these is great so I'm glad to have found a wearable shade in the range.
From my New York Beauty Haul post there are three products I've had a chance to properly use and absolutely love. First is the MAC 217 (£19), which is the blending brush just about everyone raves about. I'm pleased to report it really is that great and I reckon I'd repurchase it even at the UK price. It's the perfect level of soft and the best shape ever! I'm also obsessed with the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Captivating ($26) and I'm really gutted I didn't get it in every shade going! Maybe a Sephora order is due... I find it so hard to really love a blusher as I have combination skin and they tend to not apply evenly regardless of how pretty they are in the pan. This one is different though! It applies perfectly and lasts so well! Plus the stunning peach matte colour of it applies true to how it appears in the pan. Finally from the US, I really think the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper ($19) is well worth the hype! I thought I'd tried pigmented black liners before but they all pale in comparison compared to this.

Last but not least in terms of beauty, I've got a few products that have been around for a while but are new discoveries for me. The L'Oreal True Match Foundation (£9.99) is not without its flaws but the finish is that great I just don't even care! I genuinely don't mind having to mix the shades or the fact that my skin doesn't exactly love it. I just try not to use it like every day for a week or anything like that. If you're looking for a drugstore alternative to MAC Studio Fix Fluid; congratulations, you've found it! I've also rediscovered the Topshop Glow Pot in Gleam (£9). I bought this last summer, didn't like it and threw it to the back of the drawer, where it stayed until recently. I was having a clear out and thought I'd give it another go before deciding whether to chuck it and I completely reversed my opinion. It's a gold-toned potted cream highlighter and I just love how it looks dotted across the top of my cheekbones.
To round things off I have two candle favourites. The first one is another pick from the New York haul; Banana Nut Bread ($28, does not ship to UK). It's my favourite ever Yankee Candle so I was really happy I managed to get it from the US given it's now discontinued in the UK. It's beyond yummy so if you enjoy yummy baking fragrances and can get hold of it I promise you won't regret it! My final pick is a repurchase I somehow missed out the first time I got it. It's Muji's Log Fire (£3.50). It's not the usual fragrance I would go for at all but I completely love the woody burning scent. The only downside is it doesn't last very long, and whilst it's very cheap, the Muji in Manchester is out of town so I don't stop by there too often. I'm considering investing in Diptyque's Feu De Bois, which this is apparently a dupe of, as I think that will be much more long-lasting. I'm dreading when it's May or something and it's not really acceptable for me to burn this sort of fragrance!
What do you think of my favourites and what were yours this month?
Some great favourties there. I have not long bought the MAC 217 and I love it and can see what all the hype is about :)
