Seriously Under-Hyped #1 || Makeup Revolution Vivid Blush Lacquers

Makeup Revolution aren't a brand you'd usually associate with under-hyped products that bloggers aren't giving enough love. However I really don't see much of the Vivid Blush Lacquers (£3 each) and they're an amazing product!

These are one of the select few products you can also get in Superdrug stores so definitely check them out. They're somewhere between a cream blusher and a liquid blusher; think the consistency of a moisturiser and just a tiny dot gives you incredible colour payoff.

I squirt a small amount like in the above image onto the back of my hand and swirl around my e.l.f. Small Stipple Brush in it before dotting it on my cheeks from the back coming forwards. It gives such a lovely, natural flush of colour and doesn't exacerbate my facial shine problem! I also find they last a really long time; I wore Bloom for about 14 hours one time and it was still there when I went to take my makeup off!

Here you can see how those tiny dots look when blended out. Bloom is a muted peach, Heart is a bright peach and Desire a medium-toned pink. I have to say my favourite everyday shade is probably Bloom. Here is how it looks on:

Have you tried a blush lacquer before?

  9. These look very pretty! I like how the cream/liquid blushers give such a natural, glow-y look but I don't reach for them very often as it seems like they require more work than powder ones. x

  13. It really surprises me how little you need to use to get a great payoff. I was a little dubious about these, maybe because I haven't seen any reviews, but these looks awesome! :)

  19. I agree, these are amazing and I can't believe they are not getting the attention they deserve, esp for that price! I have 3 of the shades but will probably get others too. Not only you need just a drop for both cheeks but they also last forever, not many blushes stay on my cheeks after an hour workout at the gym, but these stood the test 100% and stay on all day:) Great review! :)

  20. Hey Jasmine,

I'm in love with the MUR Vivid Blush Lacquers-- I own all of them. I love the colours I've tried, but I have to mention that my "O'Boy" seems to have a faulty dispenser -- it dispensed a tiny bit of product at the beginning, and now no amount of pumping will bring up anything at all :( Bloom's pump is worrying me, too, because it tends to draw "dry rounds", and I yet have to try Heat. Desire, Heart, and Rush all dispense and go (and stay!) on like a dream.

    1. Oh no what a shame! I think you may have got a faulty one as I've had Bloom the longest and it's still running fine xx

  21. Oh my god, why is no one else talking about these? They look incredible. I'm a huuuge blush addict, it's my one guilty pleasure. I was saving for my first NARS Orgasm but I think I'll spend the money on these!

    1. They really are great :) and at £3 each you could probably get a couple of these as well as your Nars haha xx

  22. I wonder how they compare to the ELF HD Blushes? I have the one in Superstar... and I am intrigued about Heat. Would appreciate your inputs.
